Stepping Into The world of Larimar Jewellery and Flower Child

I did something out of my comfort zone . I am not a florals on my head kind of a girl. Tiaras set me up on a sneeze spree, and I tried to stay away from them as much I could from very long. 

On the contrary, I love playing with headgears. They let me display the un-mundane and the enchanted. 

It's my first time doing Hippie- De-Luxe on the blog, and the only inspiration to do something like this are these beautiful Larimar Bracelets studded with Turquoise Larimar Stones- ( also known as the Jewel of Atlantis,)  crafted in sterling silver and sent by Daniela  straight from Dominican Republic. They just effortlessly make the whole combo so relevant and that's what I love for my Jewellery to have. 

I always wanted to dose this floaty dress in graphics with a pairing of something floral, and since the word BOHO has become the most intolerant word on social media (pun ..pun ..Pls) it's time to BOHOCIDE and bring out pretty prairie elements from the look which knocks Boho for a while. 

Anyways throngs of yesterdays new borns on Instagram would be enough to give you boho inspiration, and all you gotta look out for is a hashtag and be enraptured to see the number of levels boho has been taken to. Can  I pass that tissue box now ?

Fur And Party Blazer Guide For Winters | Stalk Buy Love - Part 2

No matter how much I hate dressing up in winters, every other weekend of mine is usually out. Currently if we monitor our Delhi temperatures going as low as 4 Degrees, my hand always reach out for my  my Parka, function before fashion, a prototype that every Delhwala would not fail to demonstrate .
But every women needs a blazer or two for that outdoor barbeque or a nighttime bonfire, even though it doesn't  stand up against the bitter wind chills  well at least they turn the heat up  .
I have had my share of bling and prints before with blazers. But what was missing from my wardrobe was a well structured Black blazer.A perfect Black blazer is a brilliant bet to excite ,quick to throw on and can be easily layered with just anything formal or casual.

Summers are here, and that means two things - a) Another season of fashion week beginning this week, and b)  Dresses after a long time- Yayy to both.

Me for all ,had been most impatient to wear dresses , after running around in the icy for what it seemed like the longest winters I endured, and it was then that the lovely people at pretty secrets had this #prettycolored dress, which just recently became my Home-Run Jam .

Its something that I could wear in full rotation with a lovely lace patterned neck , and delivering the right dose of downtown chic while testing the waters of an open Back  without being too elaborate.

Also Got this pretty Lingerie pieces. The sports bra has a great fit and comfort, and the fabric wicks away the moisture, but would suggest you go in a for a size smaller than you you usually are, coz they might run a bit large for your frame, no matter what size you are. I am literally wearing them everyday, and I donno about you all, But sure there are times when one should definitely not be wearing one, but then there are times, when its all you might need, ( I am the latter)

Website Review: Dresswe.Com | Cut -Out Party Dress

The people from Dresswe, sent me this dress. Though the camera captured the color in a bit oxblood tone, but its towards more on a purple hue  ! With so many websites popping up daily, and a plethora of options , and a very choosy n moody shopping culture, how do we distinguish that which websites offer value for money without compromising on the quality ? Its hard, I know and have been through the route after burning my money in trials. But there are some websites, to which I am going back . Safe to say, Dresswe is one of them. From budget dresses to high end they have it all . The package came via DHL, and reached me in 5 days. Super quick than I expected, especially when the stuff comes via China you know there is going to be a month long wait ! Though there was a shipping fee of USD 16,and is usually calculated at the time of checkout. But as far the quality and the fit goes, its well worth the penny. The stitching is seamless, and I  can't seem to find the end of the seams too. Its invisible, and I like it that way.The measurements provided in the description were accurate, and the color the same . 

Wore it to an event and matched my pearls to achieve a more dressed up look. Kept everything else simple n matchy . I am into bold lips these days and Mac Rebel kinda gives me a dirty girl swab . Have you tried ?

"Indian Food and Wine" Book by Michael Swamy and Nine Hills | The Opening Of Cafe Delhi Heights, Cyber Hub,Gurgaon

Cyber Hub  has become  the new corporate leisure center, representing distant future, and is a diners paradise !  Food and wine connoisseurs, restaurant hoppers, shoppers ,you name it, and its the most popular hangout zone even for us delhities !
Cafe Delhi Heights, is one of my favorite eating places, and when I got an invite By Nine hills to witness the launch of  an exclusive book to pair Indian food with wine, I couldn't resist the temptation ...
Michael Swamy , an Indian Chef and food stylist is the proud author,of the book titled- "Guide to pairing Indian food and Wine"  was present to talk about the inspiration, and infact churn out few recipes from the book, and show off some cooking skills in a quick demo of some of the stellar Recipes ! It was fun to know that the key to making the  best matches are an open mind and sheer intuitiveness, and which comes from experience.

It is the first book in the wine category in India that takes a holistic look at pairing of the flavors, textures and heat levels of Indian food, with wine. 

I was quite surprised when he talked of pairing wines unlike the classic combos of Stilton cheese, but rather one could go ahead and experiment it by bringing the most authentic Indian dishes or street food combos and make them marry to suit our palette  !

This event also marked the opening of cafe Delhi heights Cyber hub, Gurgaon and if you ask me my favorites from the menu, we have a great conversation promised ahead.

WHYS of Fashion Blogging

Blogging in a way has taught me a lot ! Things which otherwise, I would have taken a decade to understand. From the start up days where I got caught up with technology handicap(I still am btw) to a time where its really hard to keep the standard of all the work and maintain it to a level . I never had a specific goal to begin with,other than making it a personal fashion blog Nor had a big revenue generating strategy ! Writing a post really allows me to sit and finish off a complete thought,go off on tangents address real and Imaginary critics- Yes I have had my share of  haters  losers who care to leave anonymous comments, be it spam, non- constructive criticism and crappy stuff (but the funny thing is that its actually not anonymous when we can track the IP address down --evil grin )For people like these - I just waste 5 sec of mine before hitting trash,at the same time feeling pathetic for their childish thought, and eat up the whole thing with a chuckle, and let it slide off ( ) I am pretty sure that I am not alone on this..
Its not that we are not open to healthy criticism and that I blog to get attention(though good comments/feedback is always welcome) What I am trying to say is that I am adapting myself to fashion trends, and suiting up my Armour to  engage with readers ! Blogging is actually getting into the meat and potatoes of individual talent, its my personal freedom to expose my  likes,n ideas which inspire me,or in simpler words a platform to discuss things we have in common ! Having said that everyone has a right to disapprove,and if you do, there are other means to communicate the same rather than to pigeon hole things and waste non- constructive thoughts on someones space who has no time for any shit and giggles- THAT'S WhY !

A Good Change

I have a strange habit of holding on to lot of clothes ! Most of the time, I have a closet filled with regrets. Regrets of being talked into an Impulse purchase(shopping  for me earlier was often more about desire than necessity). But things have really changed in there for me ,though simple. I have started buying things for my real life and not my fantasy version. I have started investing in basics, neutrals and accessories. Secondly I have started working with clothes I already have and replenish them with a select few purchases that are easy to mix-and-match with my existing outfits .
Like I salvaged this dress of mine today . Ever had that soul-stirring moment when you slip into something so easily even after three long years ? Hope I am giving y'all the right clues ?

Stuck on Polkas

It's dark outside early for a reason.And the earth is telling us that it's time to go to bed often, Hallelujah !! Welcome winters ! which means, time for cold feet n fingers, cuddling up in bed till late in the mornings,while slackoff shifting my morning workout, to evenings, coffee right in bed, longing for the warmth of sunshine, soup dates replacing formal dinner dates,having an open air barbeque party with my friends on my rooftop,keeping the wooden stove going..to get the heat ,buy a new pair of gloves after poking a hole through last finger, ! and I can go on...I really admire those who live in areas where they get heaps of snow, along with the freezing temperatures,have experienced it, but am not a Polar bear kind of person ! Its hardly anytime left, when light coats would soon swap places with the woolen ones. Till then, a little sunshine and a Little dress doesn't harm anyone, Isn't it?

Mood swings is a common phenomena Delhi people are witnessing right now,(at least people around me ) and definitely I am one from the lot ! My mood and the weather graph has been going hand in hand n it lifts considerably when the weather is good and drops badly when the weather is gloomy ! And strangely though I just read an article which explains a research that countries which are blessed (if that’s the right word) with bad weather on a regular basis should be more intelligent than those where the sun shines all-year-round as people recall three times much more information on days when their are grey skies than the days when the sun is shining ! Now that's one of a bizarre research I have come across lately? Just a pondering thought , does that mean we should only study on gloomy days ?? If u are aware , Delhi's gloomy weather is a trending topic too on twitter,thanks to all the pollution which has made our skies smoggy, And it doesn't seem too much of a stretch to suggest that this massive pollution might set off its own chain reaction ! Hence PLS DO NOT LIGHT  FIRE CRACKERS this Diwali (biggest Indian festival) !!! And this fog better rest by Saturday, because there are festivities and outdoor pictures to take . So just Hang in here!
