MUSTACHE " IT"

Wella India, recently took the initiative by inviting the whole bunch of online party (Delhi bloggers) to  fun-filled entertaining hours of good times to experience . Being a social animal that I am , I took a big leap to say hello to my fellow bloggers ,where we talked about things that we had in common- ie,Blogging And to also learn a bit about how good or bad hair color is for us ! The event was a huge success, and best of all it was informative with a calm n relaxed flow of activities !
I am not a huge hair coloring buff, but don't mind a change either, but to tell you the truth, after coloring my hair all these years, I am enjoying my natural black hair accidentally colored black hair, at the moment (well that's another big story-but I'll save it for the next time )Keeping it short for now, these pics were taken before I headed out !

Asos Oxblood Midi Dress

I saw this dress on Asos last year, and immediately wanted to dip my toes into the vintage waters,with this dress giving a whole 40's vibe to the length ! The moment I tried it on, the first words coming out of my daughter' mouth were- MOM are u going to school ? And there I stood with the most Pokerish sort of expression on my face, with my soul cursing me for yet again giving into an impulsive buy !  Since Midi length was the only thing that looked current(at least on the runaway) I decided to hide it in the darkest corner of my closet, waiting for the right Inspiration or mood - to say it appropriately, and bring it out !
The first time I wore it was here- and it looked pretty decent with the layers, and very formal too ! The look was really growing on me, and I was able to demystify the midi trend at least . I decided to redo the whole look and bring out this Orphan dress(instead of getting rid of it ) and break certain myths we have for this kind of length !
I have broken down the cheat codes for you all too !!

• Tuck that top In (incase of a skirt): Its more flattering when eyes dig your waistline till the hemline ! I chose the dress in two-tone contrast color, to get the same effect ! 
• Layering is a good idea- The midi length looks neat when layered. Just make sure the layer(cotton/denim jackets for hotter months) hits above the waistline or just an inch or two above the hemline(trench/long coats for fall), either of which, really  depends on what season you are in .
• Length: Thin or petite woman look great in lengths which hit just half an inch above the knee. If you are tall n petite, you can pull the longer ones too. The same holds good for curvy or pear shape women also !

Adidas Originals recently invited bloggers to review their newly launched Limited edition Jeremy scott collection, and man that was one heck of a Quirky stuff they had there !! The collection stood out,was unexpected (at least from the usual Adidas stuff),craftily designed and had unique elements like Jeremy’s signature winged high top shoe(my favorite pick) !!  If you want to leave a  flamboyant impression or would love to have those girls gawking at you , I suggest you Gird your Lions and check them out once !

Summer Screams-Pastels, Spring 2013 Trend to Watch for

Pretty excited to announce that its my Blog Anniversary ! Yes..Thefashionflite turns one ! And I seemed to notice about a week late,but never mind..at least I did ! Thank you immensely for all the encouragement and love you all keep showering in your mails,and making this whole blogging experience a fun activity for me.  Initially I was worried- what if I exhaust over all the new ideas,but that's the way blogs are !! At least I  could just write about what I feel,my weakness ,my strengths,fashion and what not,thinking there might be someone out there who resonates with the same ideas.. liberating isn't it ?
Never knew that I could go this far ,but since I have,what better way to acknowledge the landmark than with a new giveaway.. Stuck on Polkas

It's dark outside early for a reason.And the earth is telling us that it's time to go to bed often, Hallelujah !! Welcome winters ! which means, time for cold feet n fingers, cuddling up in bed till late in the mornings,while slackoff shifting my morning workout, to evenings, coffee right in bed, longing for the warmth of sunshine, soup dates replacing formal dinner dates,having an open air barbeque party with my friends on my rooftop,keeping the wooden stove going..to get the heat ,buy a new pair of gloves after poking a hole through last finger, ! and I can go on...I really admire those who live in areas where they get heaps of snow, along with the freezing temperatures,have experienced it, but am not a Polar bear kind of person ! Its hardly anytime left, when light coats would soon swap places with the woolen ones. Till then, a little sunshine and a Little dress doesn't harm anyone, Isn't it?

Some color combinations drift in and out of fashion; Not black and white,they are eternal &
 one can never run out of this color palette.How can we ever forget the little girly innocence of Marilyn Monroe and her white pants and black baby doll tops.. Hence proved.When I run out of ideas as to what to put on, I always pick Black n white and its one of the reasons that I have hoarded these two colors to ample.(guilty)My home makeover plans definitely have a place for a white couch against the black wall... Just a short post about some love showered on me by my Hubby ! Take a look...

Its been ages since me and my hubby have given each other a surprise gift. When it comes to buying something for me I always prefer what Exactly I want and what he should be getting. A few days back while browsing few watches over the web, I just left the page open and went off to sleep. And after a few days he got me this baby .. I remember I could not add it to the wish list and it was showing some error, but who cares I got what I wanted!  So tell me folks did u like it?
