OOTD: Flare Pants with a Twist

Tuesday, 7 June 2016 / , , , , , , , , , , ,

What's a meal without a Dessert ? In the same sense, what's an outfit without accessories ? This summer is a little less than fete filled . Black gets a little intimidating to wear. The dynamic trend of fashion industry seeks a lot of creativity in accessories. The garment accessory is one such trend which can be just bought off the racks. They add a great definition to any outfit and can be easily worn and appreciated. This knee accessory from the label -AnuPd ( a talented friend and an amazing designer who has a knack of reshaping fashion we see and wear ) created a lot of buzz ever since it appeared at fashion week. Fashion week is a place where Kitsch wins over Chic and eccentricity indicates experiments, and after dazzling everyone in person it's time to dazzle everyone on the web.

My mood has been gloomy over the past few weeks .Things are dark and my mind is less focused. The dramatic risks which I love endorsing over my creative side have been also subdued. Particularly after my last take on Violet lips.
I have started grappling with the situation and have been picking out on blacks lately rather than the obvious choices of summer sorbets. The hint of red, through this versatile knee accessory was the only way I could be a little playful and loose but also sophisticated and urban and project a personal aesthetic statement. With a distinctly gladiatorial feel, this accessory had already met with raves the first I wore it. Its the kind of an easy twist over something less mainstream, served in a different avatar, that just glams the whole look.
I had imagined myself wearing something like this over my thigh high black boots sometime back. I love constructing silhouettes on my own, and accessories like these give you the freedom to show your wardrobe in a much better light.

Evening Look for Winters

Saturday, 15 November 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

We know that these svelte and killer dresses still might not be warm enough to wear without a coat, and the only way to tweak the fall weather or winteriisshh chill is to add a layer- read- SATC Style and just Sprint into a party.
I am getting on and arming myself with lots of black and winter colors, like this dress from dresswe.com . Its sheer, plus has a nice cut with faux leather panels,in a Hourglass structure, and a perfect bring me out piece for this kind of Weather in Indian Calender. The mesh sleeves provides for a little coverage, and a perfect option to get that not- quite-bare-look. I love how adding all gold accents has easily gussied it up for an evening wear or a party look with an edgy aesthetic.
Foggy days are ahead,  and soon the winds would be whipping at an insufficiently-garbed leg, so that we could teeter in heels, and glam and chic may just be a little dis-proportionate. I know for a majority of us, the thinking would duly take its course  from what sequin to sport to how to not let our tucchus freeze off !
So girls, do yourself a favor and don't stow away your beautiful dresses, only for the light of  spring to bring them a glow. Add some sparkle, some glitter, socks if you don't mind(coz its the next wintery thing) and some skin to show off - all but with a bit  of oomph, n be the social butterfly you always wanted to be.
So tell me , what's your take on a Glam winter party outfit ?  Discover more dresses like these and discover fashion designers . Sound off below.

Website Review: Dresswe.Com | Cut -Out Party Dress

Thursday, 11 September 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

The people from Dresswe, sent me this dress. Though the camera captured the color in a bit oxblood tone, but its towards more on a purple hue  ! With so many websites popping up daily, and a plethora of options , and a very choosy n moody shopping culture, how do we distinguish that which websites offer value for money without compromising on the quality ? Its hard, I know and have been through the route after burning my money in trials. But there are some websites, to which I am going back . Safe to say, Dresswe is one of them. From budget dresses to high end they have it all . The package came via DHL, and reached me in 5 days. Super quick than I expected, especially when the stuff comes via China you know there is going to be a month long wait ! Though there was a shipping fee of USD 16,and is usually calculated at the time of checkout. But as far the quality and the fit goes, its well worth the penny. The stitching is seamless, and I  can't seem to find the end of the seams too. Its invisible, and I like it that way.The measurements provided in the description were accurate, and the color the same .
Wore it to an event and matched my pearls to achieve a more dressed up look. Kept everything else simple n matchy . I am into bold lips these days and Mac Rebel kinda gives me a dirty girl swab . Have you tried ?

A Good Change

Tuesday, 3 September 2013 / , , , , , , , , , , ,

I have a strange habit of holding on to lot of clothes ! Most of the time, I have a closet filled with regrets. Regrets of being talked into an Impulse purchase(shopping  for me earlier was often more about desire than necessity). But things have really changed in there for me ,though simple. I have started buying things for my real life and not my fantasy version. I have started investing in basics, neutrals and accessories. Secondly I have started working with clothes I already have and replenish them with a select few purchases that are easy to mix-and-match with my existing outfits .
Like I salvaged this dress of mine today . Ever had that soul-stirring moment when you slip into something so easily even after three long years ? Hope I am giving y'all the right clues ?
