Brand Spotlight : Pretty Secrets.Com

Monday, 23 March 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Summers are here, and that means two things - a) Another season of fashion week beginning this week, and b)  Dresses after a long time- Yayy to both.
Me for all ,had been most impatient to wear dresses , after running around in the icy for what it seemed like the longest winters I endured, and it was then that the lovely people at pretty secrets had this #prettycolored dress, which just recently became my Home-Run Jam .
Its something that I could wear in full rotation with a lovely lace patterned neck , and delivering the right dose of downtown chic while testing the waters of an open Back  without being too elaborate.
It even gives my curves a Va-va -voom :0
The packaging stole my heart. These Boxes are a keeper :)

Also Got this pretty Lingerie pieces. The sports bra has a great fit and comfort, and the fabric wicks away the moisture, but would suggest you go in a for a size smaller than you you usually are, coz they might run a bit large for your frame, no matter what size you are. I am literally wearing them everyday, and I donno about you all, But sure there are times when one should definitely not be wearing one, but then there are times, when its all you might need, ( I am the latter)
Check out PrettySecrets, for the love of some Bold Lingerie Choices, sleepwear and dresses like these in endless choices n colors.

Website Review: Dresswe.Com | Cut -Out Party Dress

Thursday, 11 September 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

The people from Dresswe, sent me this dress. Though the camera captured the color in a bit oxblood tone, but its towards more on a purple hue  ! With so many websites popping up daily, and a plethora of options , and a very choosy n moody shopping culture, how do we distinguish that which websites offer value for money without compromising on the quality ? Its hard, I know and have been through the route after burning my money in trials. But there are some websites, to which I am going back . Safe to say, Dresswe is one of them. From budget dresses to high end they have it all . The package came via DHL, and reached me in 5 days. Super quick than I expected, especially when the stuff comes via China you know there is going to be a month long wait ! Though there was a shipping fee of USD 16,and is usually calculated at the time of checkout. But as far the quality and the fit goes, its well worth the penny. The stitching is seamless, and I  can't seem to find the end of the seams too. Its invisible, and I like it that way.The measurements provided in the description were accurate, and the color the same .
Wore it to an event and matched my pearls to achieve a more dressed up look. Kept everything else simple n matchy . I am into bold lips these days and Mac Rebel kinda gives me a dirty girl swab . Have you tried ?

The Fox Says "MEOW"

Monday, 2 June 2014 / , , , , , , , , ,

Wore this outfit Yesterday to Pangaea Bloggers meet at Hotel Ashok, Delhi. Turned out a retail therapy day later, coz I missed shopping in Delhi malls in the longest time I can recall .It was fun to break the humdrum and actually hit the trial room after ages of being more comfortable shopping online or picking up stuff from streets and malls internationally, where I mostly succumb being the underdog to offline store, and always jiff up my buys coz speed is better than time spent in trial rooms- My theory, and you don't really have to agree !
Last time I brought a color-blocked look together with this outfit, but this time monochrome it was. The animalistic bit pepped up more with the snake print pumps and with that I brought some harmony to the jungle so that the Fox could say" meow" and get away with it :)

Fashion Trends- Animal Head print Dress And a Facinator

Tuesday, 20 August 2013 / , , , , , , , , , , ,

Every girl if not love dresses , and I am not an exception . I am always on a look out for  dresses, which offers comfort, and are a bit loose, and accentuates the best of your body. The moment I walked in the store, and saw this dress. somewhere  it made my heart skip a beat because the color palette was perfect, and those lil tiger heads reminded me of zoo and instantly all the risks were taken and suddenly I am talking a big trend which is bounding onto the fall scene ! The only thing to watch out for is getting the right size print to suit your body type and of course exercising a little trend independent fashion judgement topping it off with a bit confidence(and a playful attitude ,if u don't mind that either).

On another note I was sent this beautiful Fascinator by Shilpa from The Young Designers Collective.
The Young Designers Collective is an association of artists and designers based in New York City, who design for non-profit organizations to promote good.
YDC allows for a free exchange of ideas and talents, thereby fostering the growth of artists and art in commercial design. Their initiative is to bring appreciation back to the artist behind the designer, to quality or handmade products and to a more sustainable future.
The artist and the designer behind this lovely Fascinator is- Shilpa Iyengar who graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2012, and use fashion as a platform to bring her love of art into a functional form. Inspired by her travels across the world and her love of cultural history, she design clothing, shoes, hats, and textiles and infact most of her work  has been printed and painted by hand and solidifies the idea of creating wearable art.
Customizing apparels, printing textiles, and designing some enviable one of its kind pieces is definitely her forte, and you can have a  detailed look at her art and creations on her Webpage.

Cutout Dress- The Trend

Sunday, 19 August 2012 / , , , , , , ,

Wanna Flaunt some skin this season? Then try the most covetable trend giving cutting edge with the cutout dresses.
This dress of mine has an open back and a short cut out heart detailing at the back, which I really love since it manages to stay sweet and doesn’t appear too exposing . The best part I don't feel that I need to restrict this one to sizzle out in the night only, but I well played it even during day, many times before.
One thing is for sure that this trend gives me enough incentive to tone out my abs and maybe someday I would flatter myself with those mid cut outs (only if this one sticks around for a year, coz seriously I would need that much time)And for all those who haven't tried it out yet,now you have all the more reason to shed some weight and shape up !

Tying my hair into a bun updo was a good idea as I didn't want to draw the attention from my back
Follow these Golden rules if you want to look every bit of a winner while wearing cut-out dresses  and you'd be sure to make a few jaws drop.
1.Imitating when trying out this trend is a good thing but figure out which body part you feel comfortable exposing, if you are too unsure start with back cutouts.
2. If you think you are bulky or heavy at the middle or have those love handles, avoid wearing waist or side cut out dress or it would cause serious damage to your personality. The idea is to show your best assets rather than drawing attention to the flabby part. Remember-lesser the better !
3.lastly, just be yourself strap out some confidence and go out in the boldness of this trend with your head held high .
