Stepping Into The world of Larimar Jewellery and Flower Child

Monday, 7 March 2016 / , , , , , , , , , , , ,

I did something out of my comfort zone . I am not a florals on my head kind of a girl. Tiaras set me up on a sneeze spree, and I tried to stay away from them as much I could from very long.
On the contrary, I love playing with headgears. They let me display the un-mundane and the enchanted.
It's my first time doing Hippie- De-Luxe on the blog, and the only inspiration to do something like this are these beautiful Larimar Bracelets studded with Turquoise Larimar Stones- ( also known as the Jewel of Atlantis,)  crafted in sterling silver and sent by Daniela  straight from Dominican Republic. They just effortlessly make the whole combo so relevant and that's what I love for my Jewellery to have.
I always wanted to dose this floaty dress in graphics with a pairing of something floral, and since the word BOHO has become the most intolerant word on social media (pun ..pun ..Pls) it's time to BOHOCIDE and bring out pretty prairie elements from the look which knocks Boho for a while.
Anyways throngs of yesterdays new borns on Instagram would be enough to give you boho inspiration, and all you gotta look out for is a hashtag and be enraptured to see the number of levels boho has been taken to. Can  I pass that tissue box now ?

Coming to Larimar Jewellery, did you know about Larimar Healing ? I was intrigued to know that the stone has metaphysical properties with a tenfold energy which heals physical, mental and spiritual being of the wearer.
There is no doubt on the impeccable craftsmanship and distinctive design of the Larimar Cuffs which they sent, and which I accented side by side. The stylish non fussy design lets me achieve a luxurious elegance along with a perfect balance of natural Larimar stone with the strength of  sterling silver metal.
I not only created one but two looks while his one  being an exquisite day transitioning to an  evening look and there is one more coming soon.
This outfit is also an ode and an attempt to revive and bring back the memories and romance of those warm spring days. The turquoise stone beautifully reflects vintage elements but in a chic and modern avatar which is not only light rather fuss free .
Definitely you must check out their website, and I guarantee that you would fall in love with all Larimar Jewellery and their signature designs which are cool and moving with an unparalleled sophistication cannot be described in words alone.
Let me know in the comments if your heart beats faster and if the jewellery arrests your interest as much as it hooked mine.
Talk to you soon
xoxo

Blue Lips | Fringes and Frills

Wednesday, 9 December 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

fashion week elle street style, vogue street style looks
Have the fringe fever got you yet ? This year all I would be focussing on is fringes.
Yes you heard me !!
Today's look is mingled seamlessly with two new trends, which are now so commonplace, that they went on from being a statement to wardrobe staples, that could set anyone lusting after them.
That's where my blue lips also came in , probably for a second time in one year.
I didn't want to do romantic, I didn't want to do pretty, and I didn't want to do glamorous(think those pretty frills on the blouse ), I wanted to do something that wasn't so refined !! Yes, we have blue lips for those unlikely days, a better word  - unlikely combinations which makes this look mind-warping. Otherwise how do you get an Erratic edge ?
Seriously, I have stepped out from my comfort zone , way too much since a few months, still keeping my looks unbecomingly away from anything editorial(magazine like) and more real.
Fashion should  be just like making eggs. An Omelette, basically. Everyone should be able to do it effortlessly. The difference  could be of an exotic  ingredient or two, and that should engineer  enough in getting the whole potpourri of your dish together.
The people from Romwe, sent me the suede fringe skirt. It is not only a standout , rather an evocative piece in current fashion norm.
Hope u liked this blueeyy look, if yes, then a few gentle comments with an opportune nod are always welcome :) If you have any harsh words, well as of now you keep them to yourself.

The Girl By The POOL | PHUKET

Monday, 11 August 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

We were in Phuket last year too. Same resort, Same beach, and co-incidentally Same dates . On a second thought nothing was incidental as it seems, since we fell in love with the whole place, so much that we couldn't get enough of Phuket at one time. We had an amazing time last year,so decided why not go every year if it turns out to be a blast every time ? You know the places you want to return and pick up things to-do which you couldn't complete before... something like that.
Its a very MEAN GIRL vs. SHE IS TOO COOL TO CARE ABOUT STRICT POOL DRESS CODE look, where I can still lounge around a pool in heels and get away with it. Wanted A very laid back vibe which reinterprets luxe glamour and then found a spot to read and even got some Queer attention BTW..
This wrap skirt was a flea find from Phuket  last year, and I went overly board to pair it even cropper version of the top - Than last Time .... I know I may sound going on a loop, but I feel that I am still stuck in my memories of 2013 mode.
As I write this post, I have chopped my hair to almost half of what you see now, and even Got some highlights. Watch this space to know my hair-makeover story !

Get The Look- Bohemian Fashion

Sunday, 21 April 2013 / , , , , , , , , , , , ,

If I had to describe my style in one word it would be BOHEMIAN ! Says "me " about ten years back ! But does style change with time, age, body shape, climate etc? Yes it does, but that doesn't change our mirror image of what we have always been.
I was quite famous in my college days for wearing long skirts with my tees tucked in,glass bangles, long bindis, and no makeup look. Till date I love unusual pairings, and Revolutionary style attracts me a lot .It doesn't hurt to be a Che Guevara. of the fashion world , So this time around I decided to bring out my dormant bohemian avatar while showing a bit of skin....And if  you might  be interested to try something like this, minus the show off part, then  better check THIS post out  too !
