A Day In MY Life

Monday, 16 March 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , ,

Continued from my last post, Sundays are days reserved for special activities. Like some cool DIY's which I think of while randomly doing the mundane stuff in my life (e.g taking a shower )   Like these braids resulted as an  extensive Pinterest exposure. Plus the weather was firmly fixed on being cold, n foggy, which made me spending my day, the lazy way, curled up n reading Fakir . By evening the winds were more ghastly and it was imperative that we have a reaction. Except the reaction took us to India Gate to shoot these pics under a blanket of thundering skies n heavy clouds. But I love the effect it lent to my photos - I would say tout Naturel !!
It gives me strength to junk jewel and wear Fashion Jewelry which are great dupes of Silver Jewelry  with my basic tee n blue jeans, in a simplified unadorned form.It lifts a plain dressing up,  n if u add some funky hairdo, n bold lips, we are cracking up style spices.
This Stalk buy love tee has literally hearts on the sleeves, and sequins too which create a fun sparkly effect that's enough to send you right to the moon, and is just the correct choice of reinventing a basic tee n jeans trend coz -  being wild n hippie at heart has no age boundaries.

Fashion Meets Art | India Circus

Friday, 13 March 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , ,

Its been a pleasure working with India Circus and getting a piece of contemporary and expressive prints, that could do the talking. Its this funky collaboration with them that brings together fashion and art in right amount that could inspire and delight and we make it all happen for U guys.
The India Circus new launches for that discerning traveller are full of surprises. From eye masks, to passport covers to these comfy neck pillows, are not only enjoyable possessions with their signature burst of colors n  print, but are extremely capable of overpowering one's senses (nd with that I mean Eyes ) The best part is that you don't need to match up a lot of things, and if you go by my taste in ornate, shades really don't exist for me. What exist is a lazy Sunday, a cup of Green tea, a deep book, some bedside comfort, a fancy hairdo while the lippie is for show ,coz I think every women needs to smother some , before they hustle n put up their Gig :)
P.S- This hairdo n full ootd in my next post :)

Purple Lips | Lipsticks Trends that You Must Try This Spring

Wednesday, 25 February 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

After my sporadically done Blue lips fame, it was time to dive right into a color experiment and haphazardly open up to a whole rainbow and do a whacky post yet again ! I was determined to push my boundaries a bit further and come up with high impact lips. This Lilac is just the right shade for an Indian tone . Its a neutral without being one , it can be light and it can be dark, and you can play with the tone just as you feel like. Be vampy with double swipe or be feminine with a single one, just whatever rocks your boat.
Yes you would get some odd looks on the streets , but whatever , you know u are Rad, and there is nothing that could take that feeling from you .
There are so many ways I could just breeze through summers with these more subversive than tidy unabashed lips. Its just like the easiest thing to throw on after the summer heat kicks over. Case In Point : U don't know what you have got , until you tried it . But more than anything its about the trial and error, and a constant revolution between the posh n proper on one side and the punk and Provocateurs on the other, and then moving on to see what the Sartorial Janta likes and don't ? Lucky for me, you guys love my coming together of two poles , appreciate, leave generous love and all this gives me a creative license to thwack n shake the fashion world(thudd thuddd thudd lol)
Besides its not only these lips I lathered on. These bomber jackets are a trendy rendition to this pleasant Delhi weather. And for this sartorial climate that encourages most of us to wear whatever they want , I am loving every bit of it layering with whatever I could grab on and take my thangsss to the next level.

Am I Too MultiColor For You

Thursday, 19 February 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , ,

So the Cat is out of the bag !! I won't lie that  Mr. Ace Designer Manish Arora (respect ** respect **) triggers a magnetic pull , and is a collective vision in reality .The moment I saw the Spring Summer 15 " all I could do was - turn my daydreaming mode ON , while imagining  me doing the informal modelling on a mental Beethoven symphony . Hands down the best in prints and oversized dresses had caught me in a whimsical fantasy , n it triggered a lot of  ends from my side- One of them being coming up with my own collection of designer inspired  Boutique pieces , only hand-picked and selective pieces to shop. So if you have a bent towards contributing to street style n a want to express where you have been on the planet, then trust me I have some stellar and  head turning pieces lined up.
Oversized clothes and dresses, are on the right fashion radar this 2015. And this dress in doodle strokes could probably make the case of close encounters with style riches. If you want to keep your things strictly stylish , then hold on, coz I can barely seem to hold my horses.
Shop this Dress- Write to me on my email- id(on the left) for enquiries n details.
Can't wait to bring you more from the Label TFF
P.S:  Since a lot of you asked me , what the big thing was, these were the news I talked about here , n the butterflies in my stomach have not kinda settled ,so let me just hit the Publish Tab as of now :)

Mumbai Visit | Experience And FindThe the Best Hotels

Wednesday, 18 February 2015 / , , ,

If you follow my updates besides the blog, then you would know that I was in Mumbai last month for New Year's. Its another city from home away from home , and I love the vibes, and the culture. We experienced Taj Hospitality, and literally didn't come out of our luxurious room for days . Even words fail, if I start expressing how luxurious the staff made us feel, but that's the way it should be right ?  While I prefer to stay in hotels in Navi Mumbai,my husband always does hotel bookings in Mumbai near the airport.Since you tend to spend major part of your day in the city traffic, its preferred to stay in hotels near mumbai when you're using the city airport for transit. After a relaxing week at Taj Landsend we chose a boutique hotel near Mumbai airport,The Emerald Hotel, where we had the luxury of warming up  food in the good size kitchen of our one bedroom apartment. The Juhu area is a must visit not only for the numerous gourmet outlets but also for the designer wear stores where you can shop to your hearts fill and give the notorious Mumbai traffic a miss.

Being Juliet | What's In My Period Box

Monday, 2 February 2015 / , , , , , ,

This beauty/jewelry box subscription is a fast growing thing now in India too, and personally I myself have subscribed to a couple,  not out of a desperate need per say, but because you ought to try out the new stuff sometime, plus hate  throwing a  dumb expression on the face, when being asked about how these subscriptions work, and what's in for my readers.  Frankly, I only warmed up to the idea of subscribing to these goody boxes cause {a} A blogger should try out everything first (-its like a first access club service and must not be missed ) and  {b} to share my honest review on things good and bad these boxes come with.

Indian Wedding Wear | Dhoti Sari

Tuesday, 27 January 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , ,

I know, I had been lazy to post this look, until up recently I got a mail asking about this outfit(fashion week days). I didn't know, some of you check out my feed and old pics from last year "happy feeling".You all know, I like to spruce things up a bit as in whipped-up-in-the-blender-style which now isn't that hard to categorize.
Off late my shopping has become more of what suits my sensibilities with a shelf life beyond a mere trend, where, I could bring in some creativity of my own.
Its 2015, and if now's not the time when we think that our Indian wear should be more grown up than before , where we could communicate in terms of  more in design language than all B-Blingaaa then don't know when. Its the time, where belt rules alongside a Sari, Pants have replaced the underskirt, and blouses come in filters of their own, or better still, Collars of their own. Even sari's have name of their owns- In this case Dhoti sari, a particularly pointed Name, told at fashion expense. With pieces like these falling in the stores, I am already giving a contemporary nod sprinkled with modern fusion where Sari's certainly have a whiff of the archives about them.
So tell me who wouldn't love this Sari ?
P.S- Its time to get out of the pleats and wear them on your shoulder !!

Fun N Funky - INDIA CIRCUS WAY

Wednesday, 21 January 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

There are a few things in life , which we want; a few things we kinda want, and stuff we don't want. In between all this, there is a quirk void, which I deprived myself of all this time, turning back maybe I was not sure, whether it would ever gel to my liking, until after India Circus came along. Looking at the website, and the myriad prints,I could see myself fit in every single piece of their collection. That being said, its been a long time I said to someone " Ill have that in every color and every print " India Circus has made me embrace  a little bit of Kitsch in my daily wear and suddenly I feel that I have taken the quirky notch a bit higher in my life. Higher to a point, where I was being stopped and asked " Hey where are your socks from " Of course a girl loves her dose of compliments, but credit needs to be equally distributed too.
So here I am , back, showing you, how these tiny elements of fun and eclectic mix of prints and colors, could make  my gloom winter days , bloom with vibrancy and with a nostalgic remembrance of my younger self.  The old ideas, being put in new light, its always  fun anticipating in what more ways these Indian prints and motifs could be brought to our eyes !!! Let's kick in the new year thinking big, bold, and unabashedly Quirky and bright , and terrifically India Circus way !!
Warning : Picture heavy post, but you'll love it till end !!!

Trench Weather

Friday, 19 December 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

I was longing to share my look after the recent hair coloring session, while my hair was still at the blow dried best !! You can read about it here. It has given me a new boost of confidence, (always do btw) And when a super job is handled by the best in the industry, there is no room for dissatisfaction.
Today I just re-created an outfit, I wore recently to an event. Its pretty cold outside, and its just fair to re-invent no-brainer outfits, or the ones you had tried earlier. Right now, its a perfect trench weather, I love mine for its endearing style and raising the bar of femininity with my dresses. Black , blue n grey may be your winter staples, but I always find adding  a punch of color for a more impactful statement, or mixing color in wild ways, coz that way I find out what works the best for me. Too overpowering ?? Nahhh... Well, after all ,the only thing I might have to lose is my ennui.

Brand Spotlight : Femella.In

Tuesday, 9 December 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Today's Brand Spotlight is on Femella.in. They organized a bloggers preview of their A/W collection last month(delhi/ncr) and we had the privilege to check into the new stuff and feel what they had in store for us these winters. Capes have taken over the trend game, and we love showing them off don't we ? So the minute I spotted this tulip cape on their website, I was thinking these gnarly glasses, A 90's look, some teased hair, and a Ribbon headband. Although what's missing here is a scrunchie and I won't lie if I tell you that I had George Michael running in mind , but lets leave that for next time to set in.
Femella.in has a line of trendy outfits at unbeatable price. Their fleece collection is weather appropriate and the minute I ran my hands through the cloth, I felt that it was pretty apt for the winter chills we face in Delhi. The collection is not only updated, of course in vibrant flashes of earthy silhouettes, seen both in fleece and mesh fabrics in red, blue, and black palettes, but each item brings out a cool n dynamic athletic vibe at prices that won't put a hole in ur Purse.
Besides this look, I call this outerwear the Show piece of all the outfits coz(yeah not only it swings me back to 90s) but  there are an innumerable ways that this could be styled, plus with a new twist in the cut, and Hi-Lo detailing  I can't wait to show off what more I could do with their collection.
Among other exotic elements, I love the effect these velvet leggings are lending it out to make the outfit more tangy and saucy. So let me just warm up to more ideas of wearing this cape in many other ways, and bring these styles for you to embrace, till then, give Femella.in a peek an tell me what you think ?
