Inspired By Fashion Week

Today's outfit is a Re-Run of a sneak peek u all would have seen,during Fashion week days. Its finally making it to the blog , yes thank god .

For most of us who make it to the lavishness of the fashion week with its own dress codes and haunts, its a fantasy on the runway,while the others gaped their phones and their favourite fashion people live streamed pictures on Instagram. Fashion show days have a different kind of vibe. 

Taking the leverage of these events, we common mortals(btw you can easily identify these people at fashion week) fingers tapping on phone, slowly strolling the venue, eye contact minimal, sipping tea and in between pointing phones at a mirror for pictures to cover on the blog.Basically Low profile that is. 

While there are those flaunting their guccis in the face, air-kissing with designers , talking as loud as they could with a verbal fashion diarrhea and  some slangs which I don't understand, a walk which would put a shame to any online couture queen, papped by new interns(you would find them  on second row and how ?) who specifically stalked these self -acclaimed diva(s) on Instagram only to the day where they could bolster their online validation and rub a few goody bags in the face of their deprived friends boasting about their fashion connections. 

I know for a fact that fashion has a hierarchy. The influencers like editorials wears anything which speak more directional pieces, buyers -more of commercial dressing , while its the bloggers who care about creative  and original design  and  good craftsmanship. 

They explore,  translate runway fashion to convertible fashion(budget it too , if need be) for a thousands of those who doesn't know how it's done. To me, they are the actual influencers who pay attention to designers collection and then closely create items heavily influenced by or have similar elements and manage to stay on "Point " And its when they actually irrigate the garden of Self-Made. 

So all my lovely bloggers out there- Just  believe in your HYPE, keep doing the awesome work you do coz  REAL-ITY is made up of being  Real, and you all are the only ones having that.

P.S- This is just a rant, an observation, and doesn't mean to hurt anyone's emotional balance. Take it in good humour .

A Day In MY Life

Continued from my last post, Sundays are days reserved for special activities. Like some cool DIY's which I think of while randomly doing the mundane stuff in my life (e.g taking a shower )   Like these braids resulted as an  extensive Pinterest exposure. Plus the weather was firmly fixed on being cold, n foggy, which made me spending my day, the lazy way, curled up n reading Fakir . By evening the winds were more ghastly and it was imperative that we have a reaction. Except the reaction took us to India Gate to shoot these pics under a blanket of thundering skies n heavy clouds. But I love the effect it lent to my photos - I would say tout Naturel !!

It gives me strength to junk jewel and wear Fashion Jewelry which are great dupes of Silver Jewelry  with my basic tee n blue jeans, in a simplified unadorned form.It lifts a plain dressing up,  n if u add some funky hairdo, n bold lips, we are cracking up style spices.

This Stalk buy love tee has literally hearts on the sleeves, and sequins too which create a fun sparkly effect that's enough to send you right to the moon,and is just the correct choice of reinventing a basic tee n jeans trend coz -  being wild n hippie at heart has no age boundaries.

Romantic Make-up and Day Look For Valentine Feat. India Circus

The Countdown to  "Be my Valentine" has just about started . Besides being the "Love Month" February is also the month , when most of us say " I Do", coz its the month of weddings too. As a couple, I love a mushy mushy push to this day, by fate coz we are celebrating 10 years of marriage as well, just a day before V day, and to begin with, he has already got something crazy for me, which you can lay your drool worthy eyes on ,through my Instagram feed :)
Talking of ways to flaunt the best outfit for the day(previous post here) I am certainly having a bent towards everything blush and pink these days,And if you don't remember,let me remind you that I am wearing the same dress over this year for my Valentines week. The previous post being This !! See !! I think there is a sub-conscious mind-meld happening or could be the ricochets  of my previous Valentine karma, that is making me  bounce back and grab the same dress, and wear it differently. Plus I wanted the focus to be my New glasses(which u can shop), so safe to say, I spinned the rest masterfully to create a style similarity yet in a different concoction. Style Guide | Mixing Denim And Sheer For Early Fall

Its that time of the year again...The color of the leaves are changing, the temperatures are dropping, and it’s time to pull out those boots and sweaters.  The only thing I don't like about winters is the Sunset, crazily happening at 4 !!  Its a pure Bummer to get good pics these days as we always end up not having enough light !
Winter dressing is no more about Blah outfits ! 90's style Granny's Oversize Sweaters is the new Grunge and layering has suddenly become a perfect strategy to extend our summer faves to fall and put together a  no-brainer look ! Today's look is all about how slowly I am I am soaking myself to fall ! I love keeping my toes exposed as long as as I can, to make the start of fall a bit flirty ! This Denim Jacket is my best friend which helps keeps those not so gusty winds checked ! Its perfect for this time of  finicky weather shifts !
Since it’s too early for winter clothes and too chilly for summer wear, the natural solution is to mix elements of the two ,so getting to spin a  peek- a -boo act and mastering the fashion limbo correct is my idea of a smooth seasonal change !! What's urs ?

Being Fit (2)

This post is in continuation to my Being Fit post blogged last year. Having discussed my workout regime here, and after savoring  my healthy being here-I had reached a stage where I was in my fittest self (weighed 51 kgs- waist- 27 inches) .
Last few months , I witnessed a plateaued being and lacked motivation. I had disciplined myself for 6 looong years( diligent workout +cravings deprivation + bland food=healthy eating habits) but when it came to cut it day after day and keep doing the same stuff, I slumbered and soon  the thought of of lacing up my shoes became the hardest thing ever. I began to think that I have demolished myself enough and nothing would go wrong if I didn't workout for a month.I needed a break from working out and wanted to satiate and delish on my Junk food cravings.Though the good thing was that my disciplined nerve kept a watch on my indulgence but then there was a guilt feeling which decided to hang out with me ..( kinda u win but u lose deal)...
On the downside the one month break stretched to three, and there I was -crawled up like a ball ,sleeping those extra hours which I should have spent wisely  i.e working out. And then came the time of my life, which every women dreads. Yes when the clothes don't fit you anymore. I was alarmed ...more when the only acknowledgement I got was with the sentence -have you put on weight ?  I was too blown to react..I began searching out for the same girl who was kicking life in the butt ?
The good news is that I was able to identify the slack soon, and Its been a month that I am back into action. Back to where it all started.The same ol girl is beating her brain for messing in the beginning, reporting a state where my body feels strong and rewarding. Feels good to start again from the finishing line,from where I left.
Today I feel proud to reveal that I feel fitter, wiser, and happier than ever. 
Now looking back,It's really ok to fall off the wagon sometimes,but never let your weight weigh you down, just get moving and give the life the kick it needs.

On fashion front , Jeweled tees , tanks and dresses are everywhere. I even I Instagramed my fetish to own one like this, but it was not available in my size then,Still to satisfy my sartorial hunger,I settled for this tank ! Do you think , It makes up for a substitute ?

Meet the Santa- My Christmas Eve outfit

How was ur'all Christmas celebrations ? I didn't do much, just a quiet dinner with few close friends,and that was all about Christmas Eve for me ! Also not to forget  making of personalized gifts for few kids ! After all for them ,Christmas is only about Santa coming to town,and fulfilling their year's long wishlist ! This was what Santa( tired,hungry and bored ) wore on the Eve,when all I could think was How to please the little tinkers around me !! As for the outfit, it was one of my jeans and shirt days ! The funniest thing I've found is that I can spend hours and hours getting ready to go out, but sometimes the most attractive thing is a gal in a pair of nice jeans and shirt. We just need to get bit crazy and , throw on our favorite jeans, some shoes, and  a shirt, and let few accessories make all that difference, after all its time we make our own rules ? What say?

Ombre Palette

Today's outfit  is inspired by Cassata,brick like layered ice-creams of different flavors on liqueur soaked sponge,which I doted on during my childhood days !Although it has been ages I indulged in to it,but I am gonna surely do that now, coz this photoshoot just activated my taste buds and old memories! The moment I saw this top, which apparently has all the cassata color palette, I became nostalgic of the days , having it at college canteen and was totally game for bringing this light ombre blouse with me !  Though pastels can be a bit overwhelming, neutral shades provide a fantastic and  fashionable balance, hence I decided to pair this with my white denims(Inspiration chloe and acne ) and some sequins too ! And if you are not ready to say bye -bye to pastels,yet, you can still rock them for fall too ! Here's How:

• Mix up basic fall colors with a pastel color from the same family- (eg- pink +burgundy, pale blue and dark teals, black with sea world inspired colors and so on !
• Pairing them with neutrals always work for the fall look as well ! Remember to incorporate it as an accent color and not the main color of your outfit. 
• Start introducing from bits here and there and see how they look !Add pastels in the form of glossy accessories with dark make-up for the brave high contrast look !
