Cupid Wears RED | It's Valentine Baby

Another stereotype month is here . Its called the love month , well at least it's beginning to look like one. With my mail box being flooded everyday on makeup and style tips, for Valentines, to ways on how to sweep your spouse off their feet with gifts and flowers. 

What's up with all the budding designers suddenly launching the entire collection in a whole new colour palette RED?? Dude Srsly ??

I can see the clever ones still blending their collection around the pantone colour of 2016, which is Rose Quartz ,(thankfully same colour family as the acceptable dress to wear for Valentines) and calling it the IT colour for Valentine. There is everything available in the market, to fill the holes in your life, coz its Valentine baby.

In today's fashion world, anything sells. We have become more social. If we don't have occasions to celebrate, we create them. If we can't create one, we have a term called weekend dressing. Hats off to those who dress up effortlessly when down with flu, or when you are feeling under the weather.

Seems like everything responds to fashion. Would be unfair if I didn't . Hence for the love of everything Lovey dovey , here I am wearing Red- "Colour Of Love"( quote stolen from one of the PR mails ) and this Love necklace to sync around the whole theme. Reversed the Love necklace and wore it to see  how the letters looked written backwards or whether Love can trick the eye ?

The letters translates as - Son, You will not amount to anything . I wanted to bring the Love pun around it and dissolve the mushiness of Love before it swallows me and you . The Countdown to  "Be my Valentine" has just about started . Besides being the "Love Month" February is also the month , when most of us say " I Do", coz its the month of weddings too. As a couple, I love a mushy mushy push to this day, by fate coz we are celebrating 10 years of marriage as well, just a day before V day, and to begin with, he has already got something crazy for me, which you can lay your drool worthy eyes on ,through my Instagram feed :)
Talking of ways to flaunt the best outfit for the day(previous post here) I am certainly having a bent towards everything blush and pink these days,And if you don't remember,let me remind you that I am wearing the same dress over this year for my Valentines week. I think there is a sub-conscious mind-meld happening or could be the ricochets  of my previous Valentine karma, that is making me  bounce back and grab the same dress, and wear it differently. Plus I wanted the focus to be my New glasses(which u can shop), so safe to say, I spinned the rest masterfully to create a style similarity yet in a different concoction. We are back talking about the month of love, and the markets and shops have already started filling up with pretty colors and designs and everything red which has hearts, and we are racking our minds, making a list of thoughtful gifts.
While many of us are still caught up in the hype, I feel, there is no harm in celebrating  when the world's throwing a chance at us . Ideally, everyday of our lives should be celebrated, but many women look forward to a day where they could switch it up a bit, and get dressed ,looking all fancy. So for all those of you ,to whom , it means a lot, let me not sour you more on love, and lets talk about all the good things that comes with this day. Red is the color of  valentine n blah blah blah , but trust me, when the whole world would be bleeding red and pink, you could stand out by wearing something purple or yellow or maybe blue. These modern pieces not only make up, as some interesting  Valentine gifts, which are light on pocket, but  are also well-intentioned, if your other half is a fashion monster !
If you are going to spend money this Valentine days, better make it good and make space for personal memories to grow, Even if its on some in-expensive jewelry, or a dress or a book, or a special self cooked meal, as long as it doesn't cost you an arm or leg, while still kicking up the notch a bit higher than last year !

I might have offended a few of you about my brassy take on Valentines day in last year post. I still look at this day as a day of manufactured or induced romance and  an easy peg spawned by the retailers to sell more Roses and Chocolates in the world- There are far more important things to celebrate later on in a relationship.  Why would you want your relation to be lumped in with millions of other peoples ?  Total infantilism nonsense . Lets leave it here as of now !
As sane fashion bloggers , we look forward to a chance of dressing up, and I look at this day as an extra opportunity to put on my best coz  La-dee -da I have my anniversary to celebrate post Valentines, and I make sure that my man gets to let out his inner Don Juan and really go all out for me-Minus all the Pomp n splurge Except if  its a Prada -which apparently is home and I am gonna show you that soon  !
Not a supporter for this day , but Yes I Care for all that Red and Pink and all the overall girliness which radiates through a killer Valentines day ensemble ! I wore Red coz Its quintessential valentine color, white-coz it gave a more dressed up vibe and , and leopard to rebel against V-day stereotypes.

Sequins And Lace For Valentines Day

 Valentines night is a Date Night for most of us !  For me its a day after my anniversary night ! So even If I am neutral to valentines day celebration, I still get to celebrate it ! Besides its an excuse to treat myself to a nice and feminine outfit(maybe just like any 16 year old) ! Even though I feel its prompted by commercialism , that extra effort , time and love for each other didn't harm anyone till now ?
And if you are lucky enough to have a date on valentines just like me then be sure you rock that night and be dressed in your best !! I wore this dress yesterday for a movie date and dinner at DLF Promenade ! Lace dresses could be your perfect Outfit too ,for a Valentines date,so don't forget to dig in your closet for one !
