Rock Studs And Mickey Mouse Print | Delhi - Street Style

In case you missed the bombardment on my IG feed about the Cosmo/max event, then this blog post could be for you. I wore this outfit to the Cosmopolitan and Max Fashion Icon Delhi Finale which was held at The Kila, Delhi.It was my first time visiting this place, and I assumed it would be freezing as the fashion show should be outdoors, and I was right. Well It's rewarding if one trust their Gut and that just saved me too from freezing in outdoors as I picked up this Wool sweater to wear.I was in a mood to emancipate the Rock Chic Glam avatar that day, and added a spike cuff to match along the Studs(diy) on my shoulder.I picked up these cute mickey print pants from Bangkok on my last trip,but couldn't find them ever in the unending chaos of my closet clutter.Later I saw them hanging when I was looking out for something else and this outfit happened.Besides unleashing the Rock chic archetype, we had a lil fun shooting these photos too ! I wiped out a whole box of rum chocolates before leaving . Hubs says it reflected in the pics ? Unshackled much ??  Do you think so too ?

Its essential to know what looks good on you, but it becomes boring after a while to get into a style rut !! Part of the key to looking good is to find out your personal style, n then invest in pieces that help you highlight it .
Today I tweaked my personal style a bit and did something out of my comfort zone ! I brought the toughness and boldness of the military Camo print and married to the ever so Luxe n Diorish polkas and let the North meet South in an incredible harmony..(like a coconut)
 Added these heels to let out the femininity,n balanced the potion with My Manly Ray-Ban aviators ! The elements of Punk, with just my Spikeeey statement Earrings and these  metal studs on the bag,  took things to another grade, and i loved the end result , It perked some more confusion into being this Marco Polo kind of a girl which I always felt within who always looked for her pot of gold !! Whoomm -Guess I just unlocked a new level in fashion !!
Tip of the day - Don't shy away from mixing prints, Explore more and expect even more :)

How to Wear Peplum

Recently I am obsessed with running my hands through my hair all the time, which is clearly evident from the pictures you are about to see. Frizz ! Thanks to Delhi's weather !
Secondly I am also obsessed with my new  Ray Ban Sunnies, which were bought when I was anticipating a splurge few weeks back !
And I really don't know when my new Octopus arm candy will become my new obsession(which also u'll come to know in my future posts).
During one of ,my online browsing session, I came across this . It was in that moment, I got an inspiration to style my Peplum floral top which I picked from Bangkok , and decided to do a similar fashion twist by throwing it with my leather skirt. Ok I'll admit it-it was the last thing I wanted to put on before heading out in the hot, and since they say- Stay Cool while looking cool, I literally took these words on a slightly serious note there ! After much of the scoffing was done, It eventually turned out to be a good idea coz the loose floral  top provided the much needed air for me to breathe while I added those spikes n skulls to supply a totally fresh dress code. Well we can also say that it could be one of my Moto girl Inspired look !!  Ahem ! Over to u folks !!

Get The Look- Bohemian Fashion

If I had to describe my style in one word it would be BOHEMIAN ! Says "me " about ten years back ! But does style change with time, age, body shape, climate etc? Yes it does, but that doesn't change our mirror image of what we have always been.
I was quite famous in my college days for wearing long skirts with my tees tucked in,glass bangles,long bindis,and no makeup look. Your Guide to Wearing Stripes for Summer-2013

How to wear stripes - Different Stripes for different body types. yes that's where we are heading here..

Needless to explain, that stripes are a biggg trend, and they are gleaming everywhere . So when One of my blog readers was a bit Flummoxed by the fact that she looks overweight and Unflattering in them, I decided to address a post, specifically for all of us who might feel the same,and what better way than to do a OOTD keeping the trend in mind.

No its not Oxymoron,You can really rock the stripes for the Summer of 2013 if we just understand a few things. 

1. First things first, there are a very few of us who are blessed with a perfect body out there(some things are not in our hands,so as of now we can blame our genes for that). But what is not  impossible is that we can create an illusion of a perfect body ! Yes and Wearing stripes makes it relatively easier to achieve !!
2. Vertical Stripes- For those who are heavier on the sides:-They draw the eyes up and down,rather than a side scan. Result-Look Lean and Long !!  Go ahead and pair them with a solid color .
3. Horizontal Stripes- Accentuate the petite part of your body with Horizontal Stripes.U guessed it right ! They can be Widening ! Wider the Horizon, more focused would be the Eyes ,and make a seemingly narrow part of our body ,broader !!
4. Chevron Stripes: Someone did a fun twist on the basic stripes,and made them Zig-Zag,and Boom-We learnt a new term, CHEVRON -Ideal for fuller figure women,as they call attention to the center line of your body.
5. You can even mix stripes choosing a vertical stripe on the half you want to downplay and a horizontal stripe on the half of your body you want to draw more attention to ! It really depends on what you have in your closet.

Spring/Summer 2013 Trends- Top to Bottom White Look

Big or a small vacation, I am a chronic Over packer, and mostly end up not wearing even half of what I carry !! Though past so many years I have tried to master the art of packing less, but have yet to really get the hang of it ! But one thing, I have learnt so far ,is that to carry a few staple pieces ,which are gonna help me sail through my vacations easily without being repetitive ! One such staple for me is my white denims ! One should never underestimate the versatility of the basic white bottoms ! It is one of those pants that can be taken from a casual day at the beach to a cocktail party effortlessly. 
The pictures are from last weekend from my vacation to lansdowne (I blabbered about it in my previous post :) :) 
 Have been loving an all white look lately !! Why? coz I feel it makes towards a much more refreshing statement ! Also I love the way it looks against my skin, plus it's the best blank canvas for accessorizing !! However for this outfit I grounded the monochrome look by adding a neon necklace and matched it with the clutch ! To sum up, I think all white looks beautiful. I wouldn't call it a recent trend ,As it has become an all-year color,and not just one that comes around summers. 
Though Hubs is always nervous about me spilling some coffee on my whites as if It seems to be a magnet for those little coffee spills/drips.(hehe) But the fact is that I am clumsy in my real life and I always find random stains on my clothes at the end of the day :(

Leggings,Spikes And a Pop Of Neon-OOTD

As much as I love my dinner dates,I equally enjoy quite lunches,with a glass of wine and am always game to try out new cuisines and places ! Any new(decent) place which opens up in our city, and we are sure to check that out,at times Bantering way too much to the Restaurant owner. Being great food Connoisseur just comes to us naturally - (the pros and Cons of working in the Hospitality world and a few thousand meals under our belts.)Today's OOTD is just before our lunch at The Fresco ,Connaught Place ! Have been going to Fresco for a long time now, But first time to CP ! This place is a real deal. The whole sight and the aromas of food with nicely done up interiors gives a Mediterranean feel ! From Soups to Salads to Pizzas and Pastas they have one of the best four course dining set-up ! The appetizers and the salad options are plenty and I had to force myself to stop eating those bread sticks so that I could save room for the main course. The only drawback is that the food  is not spicy at all,and if you love to ting your taste-buds a bit, you'll have to request them to make it that way or if you are open to experimenting ,then just create  your own spicy dressings (DIY)
So next time you are in the neighborhood and want a reliable and enjoyable meal ,just swing by.The place is always super Crammed during weekends , so be sure to make a reservation ,till then Hasta La Vista folks  !

Bird Of Prey

Had to complete this project as a part of my daughter's school assignment where a visit to a historic place is a must every month, more of a personal project for me too ,since I have hardly visited any after I got over my school ! Total Shame ! Henceforth not a bad location for an outfit shoot ! Was not prepared for the same but never mind ! Rush is a time to show off your personal laid back ,style—right? These pictures are from Lodi garden ,A tranquil and peaceful park with  numerous beautiful trees ! It is, in fact, a bird watcher's paradise. Here you can see some exotic birds like babblers, parakeets, mynahs, hornbills, kingfishers, and so on(u can also spot them on my shirt BTW(kidding) ! Sheer Coincidence ! The garden also serves as a picnic spot and as a venue for yoga classes that are held every morning. And apparently this happens to be my especial workout place too,coz of the Piquant breakfast I get to hog at the Garden Restaurant after my class ! These collar chains were lying in my bag since I forgot to keep them back the last time I wore them, hence made a nice saving accessory to add drama to my dressed down look !! My nude lips got a swipe of  Dior Holiday palette, and I was ready to pose for my space on this blog !
