The Fox Says "MEOW"

Monday, 2 June 2014 / , , , , , , , , ,

Wore this outfit Yesterday to Pangaea Bloggers meet at Hotel Ashok, Delhi. Turned out a retail therapy day later, coz I missed shopping in Delhi malls in the longest time I can recall .It was fun to break the humdrum and actually hit the trial room after ages of being more comfortable shopping online or picking up stuff from streets and malls internationally, where I mostly succumb being the underdog to offline store, and always jiff up my buys coz speed is better than time spent in trial rooms- My theory, and you don't really have to agree !
Last time I brought a color-blocked look together with this outfit, but this time monochrome it was. The animalistic bit pepped up more with the snake print pumps and with that I brought some harmony to the jungle so that the Fox could say" meow" and get away with it :)

Cropped Jacket Trends for Spring 2014

Monday, 3 February 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Trends which are Simple , Practical and Comfortable always catch my eye first. Some are easily worn than others, while some takes a lot of spirit and challenge to Pull off (cropped top for some) ! After witnessing Cut back pants and flared jeans, its now the turn of the cropped boxy jackets to find our way into our closets ! A good jacket can be paired with your favorite jeans, or skirts or dresses ! I feel these jackets  kind of have a very hard rock edge with a lady like sophistication, allowing a lot of room for a next level of layering to flourish ! I had been Vying for something quite similar from Thakoon's Spring/Summer 14 collection and I got a little Jazzed up when I saw this Jacket on Dresslily.com and could already think of creating Varied looks from this ! Its got nice bomber panels on the sides, and a bit of wool in the center. It was my first time ordering from this website, and was quite amazed seeing the rock bottom prices for a lot of trendy stuff which could immediately update any budget girl style quotient in a Tick !

Keeping myself warm- Ahoy !!

CAMO Punk

Wednesday, 27 November 2013 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Its essential to know what looks good on you, but it becomes boring after a while to get into a style rut !! Part of the key to looking good is to find out your personal style, n then invest in pieces that help you highlight it .
Today I tweaked my personal style a bit and did something out of my comfort zone ! I brought the toughness and boldness of the military Camo print and married to the ever so Luxe n Diorish polkas and let the North meet South in an incredible harmony..(like a coconut)
Added these heels to let out the femininity,n balanced the potion with My Manly Ray-Ban aviators ! The elements of Punk, with just my Spikeeey statement Earrings and these  metal studs on the bag,  took things to another grade, and i loved the end result , It perked some more confusion into being this Marco Polo kind of a girl which I always felt within who always looked for her pot of gold !! Whoomm -Guess I just unlocked a new level in fashion !!
Tip of the day - Don't shy away from mixing prints, Explore more and expect even more :)
Polkas Blouse- Persunmall
Pants-Thrifted
Bag-OASAP
Heels- Forever new
Watch- Michael Kors
Earrings- Bangkok

GO GOA GONE AND AN OOTD

Monday, 20 May 2013 / , , , , , , , , , ,

Twitter knows it how badly I tuned my followers, by sending tweets that I  desperately wanted to watch the movie Go Goa Gone and was anxiously waiting for its release And The reasons were varied .. Firstly I was looking forward to the zom-com effect as something like this hasn't been attempted on the Hindi screen earlier, although I have witnessed zombies in Hollywood films. secondly the catchy tunes and different lyrics had put this movie in a league of its own for me(to an extent that I have been literally humming the tunes daily)
Personally,I have never ever watched a horror flick alone, as I always end up in a state where I am hyper, and sleep with the lights on for the rest of the week, or at least till as long as I remembered the movie in bits  !
But it was not like this with GGG ! The humor is smart, with generous dollops of bloody-gory-hungry zombies, but the best performance came from Kunal Khemu, who was the one who has the best one liners, the wackiest character, and the man is incredibly gifted with comic timing.  The dialogues are witty and are mostly responsible for invoking a laugh riot ! Saif totally won me with his wonky accent, and the way he  hurled the choicest Lajpat Nagar expletives when provoked, literally made me jump off the chair once..
In the end, Its a must watch !! coz It gives you what you least expect and in ways that you least anticipate, with an obvious underlying "say no to drugs" message.
Now let's move to today's outfit... I wore this for the Elle event which I attended a few weeks back but didn't have time to post it on the blog.."It is better to do well late than it is good to do well never."
