Fantasy Fringes and Face Paint | Trends | Forecasting

Tuesday, 28 June 2016 / , , , , , , ,

I have started marking my fashion boundaries with a sense of peculiarity. There is a certain interest in fashion, which has piqued me to exploring appearing culture, trends and uniqueness of my mind to indulge in fantasy. This moment of fashion snipping from the flow of ideas, usually known to my brain and unending hours of  sifting images and genre on Pinterest, Jettisoned towards something more exciting and experimental, that either you would like to throw a chair at me, or embrace me with particularly elicit response. Either ways its my vocabulary of fashion, and I if you cannot be a student, then be a spectator, and take things with a pinch of salt, coz what you are gonna see now may not be everyone's cup of tea.
I tried my hands on face paint. I have been really fascinated by this controversial form of makeup, and dug deep in the roots. And look what I found !!!  Indian mythology has been full of it.
Body Paint which masquerade as art but fully inhibit the appropriation of a personal style statement was found from the birth of ancient civilisations and among the creepy sadhus and Naga Babas of vedic times to Lord Krishna .
After witnessing coloured brows as exuberant as any visual drama, its time to take things up a notch. This outfit was conceptualised as a modern interpretation which resonates elements which I cleverly picked in accord with street style, and these painted brows which I practised outside the hidden runway of the most talked about high fashion show of Delhi, where I got to strut my experiments while still being low key.
The drama created by lots of silver cocktail jewellery,  the asymmetric draped slip dress and this fringe belt is quite playful, because I would have twirled a zillion times to make things move in symmetry, but guess my wardrobe has its mind of its own. I have a few shaken images for you to piss you off  ( That's some major commitment to photography). Can't blame, coz the man behind the lens (Abhimanyu ) is a major major major street style photographer. I see a little bit of  American street style photographer Bill Cunningham  in him. R.I.P Bill.

Fringes | Tassels And Statement Glasses | Street Style Amazon India Fashion Week

Wednesday, 13 April 2016 / , , , , , , , ,

Women - Daniel Wellington watches online amazon

There is a lot of pressure to look our best during fashion week. When you are amongst a vibe of the trendiest crowd of the city, you soak in . Yet somewhere between high glamour, bloggers are the ones who render some amazing street style. Its true. The bloggerati is the new race for static fashion . These chicks are not only visible, but visibly beautiful in extreme winsomeness moments.
Amongst everybody's endeavour to look top notch, there is  a little bit of me ( not trying too hard) but love to play a different character on each of the days and bringing a chunk of change altogether with what I regularly do on the blog. And clearly, I love to add my own punch to everything
Fashion week infuses that bolt of extra energy, and there I go probably mining my closet to find my seasoned companions in clothes, accessory and bags. Yes there is no rest for the fashionable weary.
On one of my mining days, I undercovered this fringe skirt, which I had never worn .Chords struck, and there was a speech bubble which popped in my head, when I was just halfway with a Jackie chan movie on the television. Yin and Yan I shouted.  Clearly I found my balance in this white and tan ensemble, and by happenstance or not there I was with a random test tube outfit which reminded me of summers.
There is something about that muted Ivory colour and a mix of  soil tan. The freshness and the energy derived from the fusion of these two shades is high volt but still in the sophisticated bracket and fit for my fashion week entry.
Everything is over as we exchange this post. The pics are not even from this season, but its summers. and the wistful mood still lingers. So why not I give cadre of my new fans a crack on something that can be cycled on easily these summers ??

For the Love of Brooches Fringes And Trenches

Tuesday, 23 February 2016 / , , , , , , ,

If there is one colour I am laying my safest bet on for this season is Military Green. If there is one trend I am laying my safest bet on for year round flashing around is - Trench Coats. If there is one trend that I have serious fetish about is Brooches .  All in one.  A deadly mix. Best of all the worlds.
I would have asked for more definitely but that would take the subject to a whole non -fashion field. So at the moment let's concentrate on the thought of  what I am wearing , and why I am wearing and trigger all the right endorphins to get your trends right and on point .
Oh !! Forgot one bit of a trend- Fringes . They are fading  , but we can't deny them too.
Wait I love following trends, and love giving them my own twist, but am I sounding like I am chasing them so relentlessly ?  The idea is not to spend a bomb in scoring trendy pieces , but teaming the best so that each piece or case in point here trend has its own attention time span.
Moreover the idea is to express a version more than a vision.
For eg. Khaki trenches have been more predominantly shopped.  What is a breath of fresh air here is stocking one in similar style but in a color that we would cherish forever. Fringes on clothes , fringes on bags, but fringes with high heels are deadly, and hot ( and maybe not as much done ).
Coming to Brooches, from the limited edition Chanel to something unfussy and loud , I love to take my own chances between the chases. Give me a trend , and I would make it my own.
The point is to not to have a restricted approach to fashion or follow a cycle, and then dump it like it's hot trash. I like to set my own tone to the trend if it means being streetlike cool, or just plain jane. Never fail to  incorporate the trend, stand out and experiment .  Yeah !!  Experiment is the word, is the key, and is the answer. I could have just written that in the beginning ... Never Mind .

Blue Lips | Fringes and Frills

Wednesday, 9 December 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

fashion week elle street style, vogue street style looks
Have the fringe fever got you yet ? This year all I would be focussing on is fringes
Yes you heard me !!
Today's look is mingled seamlessly with two new trends, which are now so commonplace, that they went on from being a statement to wardrobe staples, that could set anyone lusting after them.
That's where my blue lips also came in , probably for a second time in one year.
I didn't want to do romantic, I didn't want to do pretty, and I didn't want to do glamorous(think those pretty frills on the blouse ), I wanted to do something that wasn't so refined !! Yes, we have blue lips for those unlikely days, a better word  - unlikely combinations which makes this look mind-warping. Otherwise how do you get an Erratic edge ?
Seriously, I have stepped out from my comfort zone , way too much since a few months, still keeping my looks unbecomingly away from anything editorial(magazine like) and more real.
Fashion should  be just like making eggs. An Omelette, basically. Everyone should be able to do it effortlessly. The difference  could be of an exotic  ingredient or two, and that should engineer  enough in getting the whole potpourri of your dish together.
The people from Romwe, sent me the suede fringe skirt. It is not only a standout , rather an evocative piece in current fashion norm.
Hope u liked this blueeyy look, if yes, then a few gentle comments with an opportune nod are always welcome :) If you have any harsh words, well as of now you keep them to yourself.

#AIFW Presents Manhole By Shweta Kapur 431-88 | Indian Designer

Wednesday, 1 April 2015 / , , , , , , , ,

Shweta Kapur's 431-88 collection was all  about urban Grunge, keeping the ensemble accident free while being in sync with modern day street Diva. This A/W we are going to be high on monotone colors, and that's the color theme for her collection. Of course there is a blend of Blood red mixed strategically and positioned to look like blood scars, and that's what is the exact relation to the theme called "Manhole"
These practical version of sari's was what caught my attention. The prints are influenced by smudge marks and we see a lil bit of  geometry in them. And not to miss these lovely fringes on the sunnies and the baseball hat. The minute I saw them on the ramp, I wanted to scream, coz this was totally up my alley (not to forget the experimental stage I am going through  in my life right now). Also they were the highlights of the whole collection, such a fun way to add quirk to formal blends.
Hats off - 431-88 (Shweta Kapur ) - U inspire us :)

Thus Blue The Wind - Feat. Miss Chase

Monday, 24 November 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

So My lips are Blue and My hair is Red, and as you would scroll down these pics, there would be a lot of judging happening along !  So when You can't judge a book by its cover, its better that you stop. I mean heck, there's a lot of stuff besides the blue lips that you should be interested in knowing .
Like this new shopping destination Miss Chase, and my totally Rad and super cool frayed leggings.
So the people at Miss Chase were really kind to send me a few products to style and I picked up this very, Bowish feminine blouse which was really capable of lending these super natural powers to flaunt these Blue lips. So if there is any daring style or a thought , which always skips the practicality (god save us from the fear of judgemental eyes ), online shopping could really be a Savior . You never know when your inventive imaginings thread their way into an eye-popping and tactile styles appreciated by a sartorial eye.
I loved the style of the bows which meets the V neck slash down the spinal bone. Since I am practically known to do a lot of mismatching and fusing stuff, I did a beauty and the beast look in a single outfit meaning some Rad business from the frontal, and feminine bows to give a tinged notion,a mix suggesting nothing so much as an ultrahip, modern-day girl bond, and I wish I could explain how I made people's head turn to a 270 degree angle with a bemused look when I walked down on the streets !!
Besides this pretty blouse there is a pretty LBD waiting for the dress weather to start and make a blog appearance too .
So Miss Chase, is an online fashion brand retailing  trendy European designs,  for women and have a well curated section for all our fashion needs . The prices are pretty affordable , and the selection is vast. From Fashion dresses , to outerwear to formals, you may just find something to suit your style and budget. Their jewelry section is a must visit, if you are an accessory buff . Each and every piece is unique and trendy with some must vintage treasures too for staple wardrobe building . Do give it a glance , and I am sure you could design an entire outfit  for any kind of occasion with them.
