Summer Screams-Pastels, Spring 2013 Trend to Watch for

Pretty excited to announce that its my Blog Anniversary ! Yes..Thefashionflite turns one ! And I seemed to notice about a week late,but never mind..at least I did ! Thank you immensely for all the encouragement and love you all keep showering in your mails,and making this whole blogging experience a fun activity for me.  Initially I was worried- what if I exhaust over all the new ideas,but that's the way blogs are !! At least I  could just write about what I feel,my weakness ,my strengths,fashion and what not,thinking there might be someone out there who resonates with the same ideas.. liberating isn't it ?
Never knew that I could go this far ,but since I have,what better way to acknowledge the landmark than with a new giveaway.. Watch out this space for an exciting one coming for Ya'll !  I think I should indulge in an offline party and share the pics on my Instagram and Facebook Or club it with my birthday party which happens soon too ! Go Green With Camo trend

I have these old camo pants which is now years old, and I have hung out so casually in them, wearing them almost everywhere(years back i am talking),And since they have made a huge comeback, so why stop wearing them? The best part that these pants are very versatile and can go with almost everything that you already have in ur closet ! Pair them with neutral tops or mix prints(keep the colors fields same though),add a jacket for an edgy day look, and dress this up for night with a snazzy sequined tank and some funky girly elements to soften the whole look and get that femininity twist!! So have you given this trend a try this fall?

Denim Delights

The denim on denim trend is back on fashion table,and is such a style which can transit one from weekdays to weekends effortlessly ! Denims today have changed from being just jeans.From bags and accessories they are flowing everywhere ! I am so glad as I get to wear this trend more often now, while I look at my childhood pictures of wearing a denim jacket on top of my skirt ! I loved it then and I love it now  ! And I have been wearing  them since then, seriously since then ! Thank god - you at least saved me from all those( living in 90's) stares  ! Do you wear your favorite pieces even during non faddy seasons?

Playful

 Today's outfit has got a lot to do with my nails.To begin with let me tell you that I own nearly 60 different shades of polish from different trademarks.Most of the time, my nails don’t match, coordinate or compliment my outfit as I neither change my manicure often enough to mix my nails with my daily outfit nor generally know what I plan to wear the next day.Went out to do some exchanges at the market,and saw a nail art studio, got slightly tempted to get french manicure done. On the way back,took some pictures,just to show off some toned legs(blah!);which apparently are the result of my continuous swimming(See now I am blessing this weather). And this is how I dress up when my mind is blank and I have no plans whatsoever for an outfit post, trying least to look glamorous , do fashion blunders n just be myself often exchanging roles with my five year old.

Since Geometric prints are a rage this season,I wanted to add few decent clothes to my closet. It was only after these pictures were clicked I realized I am actually wearing one.Ignorance is bliss- And I say- Yes

Pepped thePeplum

Reaching out to the camera before anything else, is a task which has become my habit now ! Let me just click a few before the lipstick fades or my clothes crumple is what is going on lately in my house, which is a clear indication that I am now head over heels into blogging !
As I often divide time between work and my hobby,  I find myself thinking I'm more of a blogger.With blogging ,too much of your life comes under the public eye because your fashion tastes can inadvertently reveal a lot about you !

Recently Peplums have been on rage with a of of celebrities styling them ! While I was browsing a few pictures on the net; a thought (oh! i have something similar)popped in my head, and as a result this black Crochet top(which apparently i had totally forgotten about ) did its debut on the blog. It was a gift from hubby which he got from El Corte Inglés department store in Spain And I am so thrilled that these stores are coming to India ! The pencil skirt I am wearing is actually a tube top which i picked up from Janpath!

Just to add some twist to the outfit, I wore Indian Jhumkis, And To enhance the crochet effect on sleeves, went simple on the accessory part.
