Military Jacket | Faux Fur And Combat Boots

There is something about wide buttoned military jackets that gets me excited. I had one when I was 9 and my friends used to envy. They said it was too decorative ... haha... The minute I saw this March jacket on Stalk Buy Love, my grown up self  remembered how  my mom carefully piled away my cashmere sweaters and winter expenses into a big suitcase with lots of mothballs. For my favourite jacket, she always said, this is mothball proof, go hang it back in isolation. Even she knew back then that this kind of an all season urban uniform is trend driven, and I should probably flaunt it all year round.

I could say the same for this Jacket too. The sharp fierce colour is not only attractive, but a total impressionistic .

I have a very strong feeling that this could pass and make for a perfectly cool formal outerwear, if you have a funked up working environment, and you want to show that having diversity with your wardrobe is equally important. Its about time we show em folks, that a military jacket is a staple among the civilians too.

We shot this look in Jan last week.  It was a cold and gloomy day. As we proceed towards spring , I cannot think of wearing the fur collar right now . Its about time that I stuff half off my season's worth of clothes back into the blow tights into the attic . Time to rake away dead leaves and look for sprouted flowers. But this jacket is an year rounder. You are going to see me dragging this statement jacket and  change profile pictures after profile pictures,maybe hanging it like a prop from my arm in a few month's time from now.

Dress With Sneakers | Fashion Inspiration 2014 | Street Style India

Spring's hottest street style combo is a dress with a sneaker, and I decided to step up my dress look just a smidge and brought these canvas shoes to notice. So If they match Stylistically or color wise, I would say go for it though I am not sure how i feel about the more sportier looking trainers ? Sometimes its the most unlikely things which makes the best combo, and this uncanny cool character which seems to be actually purifying a trend only to be embraced and make a fashion week wave. Not aesthetically appealing but surely they have an enthusiastic wearable appeal . Chanel recently sent haute couture sneakers down the runway, with the whole fashion fraternity talking about it.-So  go ahead and give those back breaking stilettos some rest. Score- I say :)
This Champagne- sand colored jacket was sent over by Rosegal.com .It has a PU lining inside and a slant zipper, which makes it perfect for this kind of early spring charm dressing. It looks and feel more expensive than what it actually costs.  Shipping was pretty fast(12 days) and the item matched the description.Definitely a site to check out, since I found their stuff trendy without being too mainstream.

I got a chance to meet Shilpi from Pink jasmine Styling, who was on her holiday to India, last week. She is a great blogger, with lovely smile and some ideal fashion aesthetics and a new mommy to adorable twins. Wishing Everyone a Very Happy New Year ! I am back after a mini vacation from Kerala with God's own eclectic influence on me :) We had so much fun - I'm in total withdrawal now! How did I ever survive cooking and cleaning when I could be on the lakeside all day?? Getting away gives such a great perspective on your life.Vacation is like a drug-the high before, the great feeling during, and the downer after. Sometimes I think it's not worth the emotional roller coaster-but then I wanna pack up and move out soon again !! Really intended to do the first post of New year on the 1st of this month, but could not(had a technology n gadget handicap u see) But life would give me a better chance next year.

Online shopping is an area in which we’re proudly adept, and among a few other bookmarking shopping websites I have recently added American Swan, line of clothing.
I picked up this Varsity jacket and was pleasantly surprised with the quality, in comparison with the low prices.Its pretty warm for me to stand a 4degree Delhi chill especially when I had an early morning flight to catch. Its comfy, sensible pockets and completely blocks the wind from the front to keep the wearer nice and cosy.
These Chinos too are a pretty good fit and the material feels great and breathable.The website has a cloud of categories,and a whole lotta options to pick and choose from. The women’s selection appears to be mostly basics, with a few trendy items thrown in the mix. I did not go through the men section :(

Monochroming!

 Talking about trends, I am so into Monochrome's that i just couldn't get over it for quite some time now. It is one such trend which keeps coming back year after year because of the safest choice for both men and women. Maximum glamor ⇴minimal effort = Monochrome.

Monochrome is easy for creating a fairly effortless travel wardrobe, and it can be given the lift of the moment with a bright accessory .Black and white was one of the chicest combinations the fashion world had ever seen. For spring Mono chroming in lighter hues for those who had enough of the black and whites (penguin Palette) is a good idea.Just Add a bright accessory with an array of bangles, shoes, belts, handbags and other pieces of jewelery  to the outfit and you are ready to rock !

Here are my two different looks, in which i went all monochrome, but added a bright color to break the monotony.The Look 1 was taken a long time back and i had no clue that i would be using them for the blog.

For a more Rocker or rugged look, I would love to pair this jacket in Look 2 with Skinny jeans and leggings.  And the best part You don't need to be in twenties to carry this look. I imagine this look is good on all ages.All we need here is ATTITUDE and we have a killer style !


But on the other hand  if you want to reveal the feminine side of you, the key would be the power of contrast.Pairing this jacket with a chic floral dress and a pair of a stylish boots, is perfect if you are going for lunches or day parties.
