Trendy Ways to Wear a Trench Coat

Tuesday, 3 March 2015 / , , , , , , , , , , , ,

A trench coat is like a classic novel. The more u read it , the more angles u discover, and u want to look it up again in future to see what u may have missed ? We may have said "Do svidanya" to winters for the time being , until we feel them yet again, but a classic all season trench coat is a sail through all year long. So in today's post, I try to jazz up a plain formal trench and platter it up into exploring more options that I might have missed . I love belting my trench too(bathroom robe style) after all what am I gonna do with the loops staring up. Belted it here once, liked it, and its nice to turn to a new chapter after the previous one. There is a wild hippie in me which u know of , who takes form once in a while, and this "Hippie " belt was a perfect execution to  a sub-culture mix, and I suss out pages from my classic novel with a more appropriate execution and decidedly a twist into wearing a Trench with a runway version which is more up my speed . So when I feel my outfit is more played out, there is a way they could shine bright again with a more thoughtful makeover, n tada - We have a trendy Jolt !! Approve ?

If you follow me on my social network then probably you are aware of my visit to Dastkar bazaar about a fortnight back. I love shopping for unique pieces and offbeat places like these must be seeked out coz they are treasure troves of independent fashion finds. The trinkets and accessories made a room down my stash with a few surprises thrown in for good measures. This post has the maximum pictures in the history of my blogpost writing, and I loved everybit of it.So let me keep everything else short and show you a around a bit of a haul things which would never get old in the fashion world scenario .
These inverted dragon earrings were bought for their uniqueness factor . Price- INR 450
Organic Food but Bland
The Chutney(Indian Sauce was the only saving grace in the meal. Ragi and Bajra rotis were pretty hard, Saag(spinach) was tasteless too.

Winter Style Update- PLAID COAT

Thursday, 16 January 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , ,

The start of 2014 has been decent for me. Ok to be honest, It started on a good and fat note of splurge. My first PRADA bag is on the way, and I am counting days. I have been reading a lot of blogs, and the bloggers new year's resolution on how not to splurge this year I find myself  being a scrooge when I read them, grinning over silently and thinking, well at least its not my part of the plan yet !!
I don't have a humongous bag collection. I had always picked bags from customs store or from the streets during my hay college days, because I didn't have a "Sugar Daddy" to fund me.
Ever since I got married, I am allowed to buy just one bag a year. And I have the liberty to chose from any luxury brands,so that it lasts me a decade(we call them throw around bags). Now since I am trying to understand fashion better and I see it truly as an art form, I have started supporting all things creative and entrepreneurial. I have shifted my focus from being a lady who desires to Luxe to a lady who loves to be artsy.
I remember last time I got Mr. Hubs to snap at me when I bought this Dior inspired bag from Bangkok.
let me quote him for you- " Money is meant to be spent (read – used wisely), not hoarded. Your satisfaction (or any other synonym) depends on how smartly you spend it. Skip it up and I'll buy you a Dior next year "
Guess my over enthusiasm for Prada is only a way to beat the winter blues. Its shivering cold in Delhi, but nothing compared to the -48C in most of North America ! This Blankety scarf and My new Asos knee boots are a sure means to keep off the wind chill factor.
