Brand Spotlight : Madame Spring Collection and Bloggers meet At Pacific Mall, Delhi

Friday, 4 April 2014 / , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Last month was all about buzzing events and then the much awaited Fashion week happened. Things moved on at a pretty fast pace ,and then after burning the candle from both ends,I just felt like crashing and not to even look at any mails . I need to get rid of my dark circles pretty soon, and am also looking for some pronto vacation elope. But before anything happens pretty fast, let me just do a brief look back to a blogger meet up which happened last month organized by " Madame"at their Pacific Mall, Delhi outlet
As usual, I got a chance to rub my elbows with event regulars and some new connections were made too. Needless to say, a lot of things happens over a cup of coffee ,and the unveiling of Madame Spring Summer collection 2014 was just a part of it.
There were hair stylists, who were hired to do a Zealous Cinderella makeover on us, before we were asked to pick our style from the collection and head for a quick change of our outfits.
There were short videos made on why's and how's of the collection, with blogger intro and the cameraman's usual technical glitches and re-takes.
My style is usually comfortable, hence I just took a moment to slip into these harem pants and called it a day. Within minutes I saw this cropped lace jacket hidden under trial piles, and picked it up for the rest of my pairing.
Stills from the video shooting, when I was a Talking Tom. Dressed all in Madame.
The end result - I looked all fancy,in Madame, but felt a lil packed up a while after,as I went down a size in this jacket. After month of hunting for a jacket like this, it had to come to me this way. But then it was an  " it" fashion triage, and didn't even restrict me in a big way(just a size small),But then ,we probably should have clothes in all fits and sizes, some more flatter fitted and a few snug, and as long as I am not getting fat, things like these walk back with me home.
Above-Chit Chat with bloggers below Me trying on this humongous hat displayed on the window.Sadly,It was not for sale:{
I would say that I am not a regular at shopping at madame, but their colorful spring/summer surely makes me wanna keep a tab on whats new!The store looked energetic with huge prints galore spotted on the racks, and some nice summery and candy dresses on which I had a crush on.
Do drop in a Madame store whenever possible ,and check out a variety of styles ranging from simple tees, vests and tops in nets and laces, to keep you cool and stylish this spring. The collection also includes short skirts and sunny dresses both for formal and casual occasions.

Get The Perfect Party look

Monday, 16 September 2013 / , , , , , , , , , , ,

If you have been following my blog , u would know by now that I am not really a jeans Kinda girl !
I grew up in an old fashioned way, days when jeans were looser fitting so when the trend hit to skinny jeans , I always looked good in them but felt a bit  odd about something, which till date I can't figure out yet ! I stick out to them during winter because It's too cold for something else for me. But as soon as I come home,I take them off right away and slip in my yoga pants. While talking on this preference note, I never do this with my dresses or skirts or shorts. I don't want to rid off them as soon as I hit home :) Guess that explains me being partial to them as a whole !
Let's hear what your style is ? Jeans over a dress or dress over Jeans ?

Another news is that Thefashionflite has collaborated with Zahna jewelery. The designs are captivating, and all of them are hand-crafted. Zahna Jewelery is exclusively available for sale on my blog, and would soon be available on Etsy.com.You would see more glimpses of the collection in my future posts too.
P.S-They are holding an exhibition this Wednesday at flea at nite at Saket, Select city walk !!

Fashion Trend-Stripes And Layering

Sunday, 16 June 2013 / , , , , , , , , , ,

In India(specially Delhi), its a bit of a daring expression if you roam about on the streets wearing a tube or a spaghetti. Even though you pull the look fantastically, women are supposed to wear place-appropriate clothes, unless its Ok for you to go out and be hounded by prying eyes, which is not the case with most of girls- And that  I am pretty sure of .
Shrugs have become so Yesterday for me. I always look out for light cover-ups or summery jackets, which can be just thrown on your deep tanks or noodle necks .And for this simplest reason I have bounded love for light button down shirts !
But then I have a small problem with them too.  My Button-down shirts seem prohibitive for movement for me. I feel like I'm in a straight jacket, especially if they are longer sleeve.  I look good in them if they are more fitted , but I just can't get comfortable. Not to sound like a broken Record, but if you hate something , do not wear it ! Doesn't matter who says its a must have or a classic piece. Just Screw it !
So Instead , I always fish for a perfect button down in my Hubs closet  for layering during monsoons or always buy them in one size big !! Problem solved.
Layer your buttons down with a  boring dress, and you could bring life to it .
Layer them over, Hide your tanks/ tubes with a buttons down, and you become the next sober girl in your locality !!
Layer them underneath a tunic/Cardi and you have an Evolved look in seconds .
And before you become judgmental in what I really have for this Black and  White stripe skirt, or whether my wardrobe has gone in for a strike Its better I downpour you with OOTD Pictures.

This explains my- I have something for vintage doors syndrome

GO GOA GONE AND AN OOTD

Monday, 20 May 2013 / , , , , , , , , , ,

Twitter knows it how badly I tuned my followers, by sending tweets that I  desperately wanted to watch the movie Go Goa Gone and was anxiously waiting for its release And The reasons were varied .. Firstly I was looking forward to the zom-com effect as something like this hasn't been attempted on the Hindi screen earlier, although I have witnessed zombies in Hollywood films. secondly the catchy tunes and different lyrics had put this movie in a league of its own for me(to an extent that I have been literally humming the tunes daily)
Personally,I have never ever watched a horror flick alone, as I always end up in a state where I am hyper, and sleep with the lights on for the rest of the week, or at least till as long as I remembered the movie in bits  !
But it was not like this with GGG ! The humor is smart, with generous dollops of bloody-gory-hungry zombies, but the best performance came from Kunal Khemu, who was the one who has the best one liners, the wackiest character, and the man is incredibly gifted with comic timing.  The dialogues are witty and are mostly responsible for invoking a laugh riot ! Saif totally won me with his wonky accent, and the way he  hurled the choicest Lajpat Nagar expletives when provoked, literally made me jump off the chair once..
In the end, Its a must watch !! coz It gives you what you least expect and in ways that you least anticipate, with an obvious underlying "say no to drugs" message.
Now let's move to today's outfit... I wore this for the Elle event which I attended a few weeks back but didn't have time to post it on the blog.."It is better to do well late than it is good to do well never."
