Inspired By Prints

The summers are here in full swing, and before we could say hello sweaty days and rolled up hair, I am sure you would have got your summer dresses in place . I am gonna be hitting the beach soon, for my annual roll in the sun and sand.  Using this is an excuse ,I think I could really use some swimwear and beachwear inspiration . 

My current mood swings between me visually embracing this swimwear, somewhere in Hawaii, until the reality shakes me . And since I have started living in the moment,this harmless little fantasy helps me in releasing all good hormones , and that maybe a good thing for now (Just guessing)

For the outfit, it's not the first time I have started  embracing bright colors, big prints and bold graphics . They always let me celebrate my individuality. From low-key prints to high intense ones, I have had countless moments showcasing them all. Safe to say that I have tested the graphic waters and the verdict is - That interesting color combinations are the key to mixing prints.

But this post focus on the key colors of the game. Yes, let's talk in-your-face red ,eye catching and unexpected highlight of Indian fusion boldness.

Wearing a Choli as a crop top had never occurred to me before, and recently after looking at  this , I went back to the archives of my photo  gallery and decided to put up the pictures, which I had been contemplating from so long. In case you haven't guessed , the blouse/choli is exactly what I wore for my Diwali Post last year. 

It was fun creating this look. These pants were bought from Bangkok, when Disney didn't even begin to street style. Not the pants , but you would love the  disney collection by Satya Paul. Use this code to get it at a bargain and try and  rework  some #disneydust in your outfits too.

Inspired By Pastels

I love wearing Pastels.Its soft, and girly and playful.Nothing like rocking a sugar factory, especially when sweaty days could soothe off with a radiant hue and perky smile, and dressing up in  pastels beats me up into channeling my inner Easter Bunny.

Enough said. This is another outfit we shot before entering the venue for the fashion week. The trail Length Kurti came with pants, and I think I have formed a habit of leaving some and picking some , and then weaving into things I wear. Maybe someday you may see me wearing different feet(a.k.a shoes) The Kurta packed in a lot of sophistication, so I added these downtown Nike sneakers to go along, and who doesn't want to kick things up a notch when fashion week rolls up?

This jacket is another piece from my collection, and has all the pastel powers in one piece, which means only one thing - You can't really go wrong with summer blazers , especially with all the cotton candy colors popped in one . So why don't u all just dig in the whole amount of fabric going around in the photos, while I work on some fodder for my next post ?

Indian Fusion Styles That You should Try

After the India Couture week, rolled up, where my eyes could not wander beyond current trends,and how our Indian designers didn't leave variations behind in their creations, and gave us a lot to experiment and food to digest,  I picked up Inspirations, from where they left.
We are blending trends like never before,and there are transformations of style over fashion-Read Street Styles ! I have been drawn to wearing lots of neutrals, and whites,this summer season, and it was then my eyes fell on this Kurta dress by Fab India. I was in the trial room, wearing these same slip-ons, and felt that they could effortlessly help me create a concocted style, which I had so long in mind. Later after much of searching and hunting around the racks, I found this cotton midi skirt too, in the fabric that always set my monsoon mood and I was ready to deliver any indo-fusion "Mien" !
Stacking Jewelry Pieces is a great idea , especially if you are experimenting with Indian Jewels as they Scintillate a heavy duty fashion Armour . I used elements of Kundan, in this Maharani style 3-tiered necklace, and then added the beaded balls necklace to get to a modern version of Indian Wear staples.
The back had some elaborate Latkans, which not only brought my opulent fantasies to fruition, but pretty much made me stand out, amongst the great sea of Accessories !

Perfect Blend

 Clubbing fashion with tradition can really notch up any look big time ! Indian culture is so detailed,that it easily allows one to mix and match to bring change in any form of dressing,while keeping the comfort quotient high too !

Today's look is all about mixed dressing and I am linking this post with Infb remix-Indian fusion . I really Pine for International designs around the runway which are blooming with Indian motifs,brocades, mirror work and what not  ! Spoil rotten? yes maybe !
I have experimented this style of dressing earlier too-here(in a faint form) , but for the current look I thought to bring a little more glee by giving a touch of bindi and bangles to my paisley printed tunic and pairing it with shorts. What say ?
P.S: I have spotted a lot of Delhi girls going Ballistic about wearing a Bindi.The transformation of "Bindi" into a hip accessory has lately been fueled by Kareena Kapoor's upcoming movie "Heroine". After all Bollywood and fashion are synchronic -Aint' It?
