In My Dungarees | Style | Delhi Fashion Blog

Tuesday, 26 July 2016 / , , , , , , , , ,

A lot of things are catching my fancy at the moment. I am an Anomaly in a world obsessed with femininity. At least from the recent deliveries I have at home, nothing is as close to as a womanly buy. Sporty is becoming my new fallback term for choice . A lot of people call it athleisure.
Today's look, sent me whooshing back to high school, when I wore a similar pair of dungaree skirt while hosting a seniors party in eleventh grade ( I am talking 90s- so go back with me ). It was a farewell party and I wanted to look good.
Unfortunate as the day could be , I had an inappropriate malfunction, as I took my dungarees skirt in black colour, which I remember clearly , to a sophomore outing.
Its always a first time that a garment has to prove itself to me, and everything went against with anything that looked like a perfect image of me doing my shindig in my dreams ,a night before.
On the day of the event, my dungarees became that monster which kept on falling off my shoulders and I had no way to control them.Years after they resurfaced as overalls , I have started having faith in them back again.
Today I am probably wearing the same style in a more glossy package if I had to put it with a big pixel bow. In literal sense , I am wearing these cuffs which double as a fan after they demonstrate as a great fashion accessory of the season.
Cool accessories like the cuff, you may count the purples in too , are a bonafide investment .They always give a new shape to even the basic of a look, and have recently caught my eyeballs and attention. The rose-tinted exuberant nostalgia of a dutch era ,was coming at play, more like meandering in circles as I was confused how to pair this coolest acquired accessory courtesy husband, and his sheer generosity in sourcing these playful buys from his travels which I assume you would like too, unless you are a naysayer or have some rapturous reaction ready to dispose on my photos.
The Dungarees are from StalkBuyLove, a style borrowed heavily from the world of sports. Imbuing again in the same outfit, after a decade feels good. Of course the snapback was just tried for a few test shots which came as in  between as a fragile landscape of  boyhood, but you need not focus on them.

OOTD- Hearts Stars and Studs

Friday, 21 December 2012 / , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Since childhood I haven't been taught to free the ideas from my brain ! Frustration, Anger, Confusion, helplessness all gulped down that throat and my heart became the most heaviest part of my body !
But things really changed during my late twenties and more when I became a Mother ! I started living my life the way I want and tried to do whatever made me happy.Blogging is just one part of it ! It really helped me self discover myself and also replaced self talking time ? Eh?(revealed) And I am thankful to no other person than myself for doing that ! ! I have suddenly spurred in action, I go and do new different things,to get authentic stuff for my readers, Even if I look silly or clumsy in any of my outfits, I know I am still gonna be appreciated ! Total win-win ! To sum up,Starting a blog opened up whole worlds that I never knew even existed ! No one wants to be "sold" something every time they read a blog ! Selling true motivation and encouragement still goes a long way ! Sorry for the long Rant ! I really wanna trawl back on this post when it becomes history and set new reminders !**
Time for some pictures now :

Checkered Flare

Monday, 23 July 2012 / , , , , ,

If you need a little outfit inspiration, and run out of fresh ideas,or your fashion magazine stock and just too lazy to grab one, just head over to your nearest parlor and kill two birds with one stone. ie,While your masseuse pampers your body, checkout all the fashion magazines .
Today's outfit takes its cue from one such similar exercise of mine, where I stumbled upon Eva Mendes picture in a checkered shirt with flared denims-(minus the dog),though my dutiful husband volunteered to fit in the bill, but since he wanted a diamond leash, I decided to pass the idea, And let me assure you, he's more ferocious than the Alsatian in the picture :) haha.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the weather was too humid, for me to wear anything tight,a loose checkered shirt borrowed from husband, provided perfect ventilation.

Being Fit

"Don't give up what you want most for what you want now, YOU are who you choose to be ! Follow these lines sincerely if you are on a weight loss regime. Since five years I resisted the urge to hit the snooze button and skipped out, And the result is right in front of you!  I don't know whether size zero exists or not, but size S and XS definitely does, and that's only a good workout away everyday ! And when they say STRONG IS THE NEW SKINNY, it becomes a positively agreeable experience for me. As for me I start my mornings with Hard core Aerobics and floor workout followed by an evening walk for one hour& Ditching fast food for at least five days a weekThough it was easy for me to lose 25 kilos but the remaining 4 kilos is acting very stubborn on me..
I shall soon be posting some pics from my HAY days when i was overweight!

It was a girls day out on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and got clicked on the way! I just skipped my shades and instead wore  my yellow glasses, since I felt it added a little more freshness to the outfit!

The Khakhi Love

Monday, 23 April 2012 / ,

We are busy people. We are plugged in to phones and computers, and constantly on the move, and at times we forget the purpose of our quicksilver existence. We are frantic workers/ moms/ wives etc..even when we work against the very conditions that produce our franticness
Today I got up feeling, that life is getting too fast and that we lack concentration. How i wish time to rewind and leave me the way i was in my teens. Yes ! I want to relive those days.. cherish my family and friends again, And for a few days i didn't want to be dominated by the internet and the touch screen the so called- apparatuses of our age.. (wishful thought but non applicable as of now)

Now to the outfit- Just got ready for a formal exhibition and wanted to get clicked ! So delightfully handed over the camera to my daughter BUT was not really disappointed with the result..Except a few dark and hazy pictures she managed to do a good job(and even taught me some Bollywood style posing).
Khaki is my all-time favorite; And who says that only men carry khaki's well?It can be the smartest style investment even for Women! White blends well with Khaki, even light blue and light pinks are a good option. Pearl earrings, and a high pony was my idea to imitate corporate style dressing.
