Cape And Tassels

Today's outfit is a chalk full of ultra femme paired with beautifully rendered conversation starters. Why should a women not love statement pieces ? Be it a statement dress or jewellery , surrealism with modest elements evokes a homage to beautifully rendered brave looks.

This cape dress with pretty florals worn at fashion week last month brings a new meaning to outerwear which has a mix of both parisian and street, is the forefront of good taste we are fed with at sometime.

The look is pretty basic, but the detailing pushes the edges out. I worked along these statement earrings and a simple cuff  available online at wildflower.inc to lend a small bit of ornamentation to the whole look, which does not take attention away from either the outfit or the jewellery, rather complement each other and deliver intelligent mix and tweak for the chic to happen .

Although this look appears effortless, but to tell you the truth, there is a very smart amount of calculation behind  it to get it right. I decided to piece together everything, thinking that I would be wearing the look from AM- PM hence I dare not ERR on the most practical side ie. to incorporate flats .Although  nothing in the world could part me away from the most comfy shoes in my closet (more ideas for you)but the lightening truth is that I feel I could have enhanced the look better   with a nice pair  of criss cross straped sandals as well.

Lookbook | Resort Wear with Clarks MyShoeDiaries- II

This is the second look, I built around these Clarks shoes for #myshoediaries contest . The good part about the day was that after wrapping up with the photographs, I get to jump in the massive pool which was the only thing you need to come to fruition after a sweaty day. I was expecting this. The resort and the poolside spa provided for a leisured existence, and that is what I let that encapsulate in this outfit.

An ideal resort wear is a gamut of cool , and fluid and very mainstream maxis and kaftan styles which are easy to fit in and pack. I broke the stereotype here a bit and explored a whole new crop of trends for 2015, and went more realistic.

I wanted to get in a clean, simple yet polished look, and the extra room in the short pants (culottes ) which surprisingly float in the wind, have movement and are as good as a maxis had me game to the style. Paired this earthy green color with my kaftan style blouse which is destined to become my new uniform , matched some luxe jewelry with the shoes, and came with a bona-fide fashion look. In a way I found a new fabulous way to nod to the 70s in a most dreamy nonchalant resort wear dressup which looks flamboyant at the same time. Its almost like I literally fell into this outfit, coz I couldn't wait to have my evening doze of tea and snacks sitting by the poolside. 

Travel In Style with Clarks #MyShoeDiaries - 1

Today I created the whole look around the shoes. Its summer holidays and that means travelling on cards, not only for me , but am sure for a lot of us. So just because our schedule includes planes,cars or trains , it doesn't mean that our wardrobe has to suffer, especially when all the while we have a selfie fever tapping on, and it's got to be always a winning one. That's correct. Everyone wants to look good and have good travel pictures .

So this holiday season Its all about travelling in style and when it comes to that, I think, laid back look, breezy outfits, lots of sunscreen, and comfort shoes for that  endless slip on and offs in the car and flight.

I was thinking to go super casual, but also wanted to keep my individual style intact. And since we were spending the weekend at  Heritage Select Manesar, I decided to blend in with the alcove style village interiors , and bring my gypsy style to play. The bindi, layered semi-precious Jewellery , deep kohl, helped me play the case of cool and casual. I really felt that these pretty Ennis weave Dusty pink shoes from clarks were the only thing that I needed to make my travel style pop. They even lent a good amount of style emmo to the Jewelry I wore which I sartorially layered skipping anything which was overly trendy and less than anything loud, helping me show a bit off my Indian roots with a side of cool. 

Knowing that it was gonna be the hottest day on record, I wanted to keep the outfit airy,but at the same time injecting the flavour I wanted , and nothing could demonstrate that than a pair of hot shorts and an off sleeve blouse.

So this was my take on tripping out of town in style  and a way I could meld travelling hours without looking boring.

Bonus: This look could go straight from travel to dinner to drinks, or even sightseeing.

Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus

I discovered these couple tees in Bangkok. They had some lovely crack me ups for a couple, and I had a notorious look on my face there and then. Clearly, I knew I was driving hubs to do this and of course my little eye candy too.
Its usually the case in relationships too, and mine is no different, so why not morph into one and wear the same tees ,but in a little out of the box style and show a bit fashion focused affection ? Though the pics may not convey the affection that effectively, but what it conveys here is the story of every married couples ? Although it took me a lot of cajoling with him to wear this tee , as it is a public acceptance of  Men are always wrong and a bigger acceptance that wives are always right. In the event we got a sandwich of a confused daughter, who would eventually have to find her own answers.
So, If you see us wearing this outdoors then maybe we are feeling a bit high strung and also we don't mind giving a little fashion based Biased lovey dovey display of Opposites attract  coz we love it when that gives the world a chance to chuckle at us on this Double outfit dose.
So whether you are a loved up couple or a not so loved up ones,I don't even know whether this is a new wave of trend as yet , but what I know as in now is that giving a shot at some craziness is Right Now in Trend " coz after all "The couple who dress together stays together"
