My Hair Makeover Experience at Geetanjali Salon Delhi

Tuesday, 30 September 2014 / , , , , , , ,

Geetanjali Salon- A Concept hair Studio By Sumit Israni, just spread its wings over to Select City walk , Saket, Delhi and I was invited to avail a few services of our choice. When it comes to Hair and color, you need trusted hands. I mean there could be a gazillion salons doing the same kind of stuff for you , and may just lure one with discounts and offers, and the next minute it could turn out to be worst experience of our lives. It left me in tears once(in Hongkong) and from then on, I don't mind paying more to get professional over experience enabled person touching my hair at least. I am very critical about hair salons and am very cautious where my money is spent.
Sumit Israni(Owner) is famous for his specialization and celebrity styling and is such a warm personality ! I had a cut from him once , before he moved to Dubai and from then on, I was seeking him forever .

Women's Day Special Event | Gulaab Gang with DLF PROMENADE DELHI

Thursday, 13 March 2014 / , , , ,

This women's day DLF Promenade Delhi, a mall dedicated to women, devoted an entire week (1st -8th March, 14) for women to shop, eat, relax, have fun and get rewarded in unique ways for the immense dedication and care with which they nurture our world.
A few Delhi bloggers as well the top women socialites and designers were seen enjoying each others company and all that mingling when a session of hi-tea and a special screening of the movie Gulaab gang was hosted by, DLF Promenade, Delhi.
Ok before I go on and share the details and highlight of this event, I really have to tell you about this super cool cab service by the name of Uber The event took a leap of excitement when all the women were driven to and fro to the venue in Uber cabs. Uber is an app that lets you hail a luxury cab within minutes you launch the whole thing on your lil smart phone. And seconds after that  it locates the total no of cabs in your Gps vicnity .Once the request gets accepted by a driver there is a push notification with the drivers name, and pic along-with the type of car and car number that is being sent over with an estimated fee for your cab ride.
Verdict-It sure as heck beats the old fashioned taxi booking system that we all know of as of now. All I can say is that its the future, and in a city like Delhi, this could be women's best travel alternative.
The movie though brought about the message of being fearless and all that women power being exercised , and besides all that violence which I am not appreciative of, the good part about the film was the sputtering chemistry of Madhuri Dixit Nene and Juhi Chawla that makes it worth watching once.

The Evening witnessed a spectacular fashion show and some cool  wooly collection on the very much dapper Randeep Hooda, and of cource some spruced up hot models, walking the ramp in Raymonds and looking nothing less than A complete Man(men). Its time we say Bye-Bye to the whole tropical weight wool which we can't just wait to take off and instead welcome the cool wool collection cool enough for even the most easily overheated.

Model In the Cool Wool Collection

I really love this idea of Slouch Business pants instead of the fitted ones. These are perfect to wear casually and formally both.

Peter Ackroyd, global strategic advisor for The Woolmark Company with Bollywood Actor Randeep Hooda

In a continuous effort to promote wool as a trans-seasonal fibre in India, The Woolmark Company and Raymond have entered into a partnership to launch a complete new Cool Wool collection for Indian customers. The partnership reiterates The Woolmark Company’s commitment to drive awareness about the plethora of benefits that wool offers and is strengthened by joining with Raymond - India’s leading menswear brand and the leading manufacturer, marketer and retailer of worsted suiting fabrics over the past eight decades.

Cool Wool garments are manufactured from lightweight Merino wool fabrics with a maximum weight of 190 g/m² and a maximum mean wool fibre diameter of 22.5 micron. Merino wool is used for its natural, breathable and thermal-management properties in lighter-weight fabrics for warmer climates such as India’s.

The Cool Wool range from Raymond includes 100 per cent wool fabric as well as blends with natural fibres including silk, cotton and linen.

Peter Ackroyd, global strategic advisor for The Woolmark Company said “India has a tropical, climate and customers avoid wearing wool garments in summers, as they clearly identify the fabric with winters. We want to negate this notion. Indian customers need to understand the true potential, versatility, and the benefits of using wool in summers. With Cool Wool, we are confident and believe that Indians will fathom the adaptability of wool in summers.

Cool Wool offers a variety of smart and comfortable fabrics that includes pure wool lightweight fabrics in Super 100’S Merino wool and innovative blends of Merino wool in combination with other natural fibres manufactured using innovative technology that ensures natural breathability and temperature regulation thus, making it an ideal fibre to be worn all year long.

Australia’s Acting High Commissioner, Mr Bernard Philip, said “Australia is the world’s leading wool producer, accounting for around one quarter of the global wool production and Australia has a long tradition of trade with India in wool. In 2012-13, India was the second largest market for Australian wool and Australia was the largest source of India’s wool imports".

About The Woolmark Company

The Woolmark brand is owned by Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), a not-for-profit company owned by more than 27,000 woolgrowers. AWI’s vision is to be a significant contributor to a vibrant, stable and profitable wool industry providing the world with the best natural fibre. The company works throughout the global supply chain – from woolgrowers through to retailers. The company mission is to enhance the profitability, international competitiveness and sustainability of the Australian wool industry; and increase demand and market access for Australian wool. Merino wool provides stability, resilience, softness and luxury to the tailoring industry. The fibre has long been a favourite of designers, but younger consumers, born in an era of ‘disposable’ fashion know too little about the natural benefits.  Wool is a 100 per cent natural and renewable fibre. Sheep live on grass, water, fresh air and sunshine. Wool is a fibre that is grown – not man-made. Every year, sheep produce a new fleece, making wool a renewable fibre source.
