Beauty Review | Lets Get You Monsoon -Proof

Monsoon treats some of us real bad. Although they come as a welcome break from the excruciating heat,but the accompanying humidity plays havoc with our skin.
Sailing in the same boat ? Welcome to the gang. Lets talk about ways to combat this monsoon PMS and some products I swear by which has helped me sail through and now predict how my skin would behave for the rest of the monsoon years to come .
The products listed have been royally switched with my regulars, so there is a short review, and how my skin  and hair  feels after using these.

Za Perfect Solution Youth Whitening Serum

I had attended the launch event of this mystery solution, and they claimed to bring back the skin we had a few years ago. The product claimed to be consisting radiating and ant-ageing properties, formulated with plant extracts and marine collagen leaving us with younger looking skin and that silky glow we always wanted.

Initially I was a bit skeptical to be using this especially in the humid conditions. I simply didn't want another layer of something on my face. But am so glad I gave it a shot especially in this grimy weather, coz that's the actual way to really put through a product under testing waters. It worked well for my combination skin.The skin feels nurtured, a bit of firmness, more radiant, and it even worked miraculously on a few spots that I had from before on and that too after a week of using it. The serum just disappears after stroking the face gently after application. I love the texture,(milky white emollient) it feels really soft on the hand .I am so glad that I was a part of the launch, and got to try this first hand. 

Verdict - Its totally worth the money (1299) and worth the buzz too.Best for women age 25-40, especially working under stress, and other lifestyle conducive ailments.

Tigi Bed Head Control Freak And After Party

After party-Tigi Products are my new holy grail for all my hair care woes. This pink cute after party is my second bottle , and I am so glad that I was introduced to control freak by their team. 

The after party, is a hair smoothening hair, and smells divine. It creates a very natural and a fresh look, very glossy finish without even brushing it. This way my natural curls are intact too.

I have frizzy hair in monsoon, like the most of u, and there is a reason why it is my second bottle in six months. I use it in heaps , almost every alternate day, and u need to do the same, if u have thick voluminous hair like me .

Although I keep trying other products for the hair too, But after party, trumps up all the rest. 

Verdict : Go run rush and buy, I am so sure you all would love it.

Control freak - Works great for frizzy untamed hair, especially before if u are keen on styling ur hair (straightening or blow drying). This is totally non-sticky, weightless, has less of fragrance and the little sparkles in the bottle don't show up on the hair. Best when applied on wet hair when you want to blow dry , it feels like you didn't use any hair product, but the hair still feels controlled.

Verdict- Best for curly hair-The hair becomes easy to comb, brush and style, the frizz is decreased and the hair becomes and feel shiny which is clearly fab.

BioDerma Photoderm Max Compact spf50+

This can be easily your summer best friend, and I can say this pretty convincingly after just 7 applications. It gives a very dewy finish to my skin. It's less powdery, hence , that could be the trick to the whole dew look, but besides that, all Bioderma products have great sun tolerance properties.This has a spf 50 +, perfect for the kind of summers we  face in India.
The usp of this compact is that its paraben free, preservative free, and even fragrance free.Non-sticky and Totally waterproof, and photostable, which means no more cakey layer in your photos.
I am wearing it in this photo.You can see the kind of glow it has lend to my face and has given me a nice coverage too.
I hardly remember using paraben free compact in my life, and this has to be the first.
Verdict- Recommended for the most sensitive skin as well. The first kind of a sunscreen powder
 compact. If you are out and about in the sun a lot, then this could just be your next skin saviour .

Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks in Orange Icon and Cherry Rush

Nothing to do with monsoons, its just another product I have tried (thanks to the PR at foxymoron for sending).
I love the textures, it just glides on smoothly . Although it has a glossy look and feel , but after a while the color really soaks onto the lips, and no amount of eating and drinking could wash it off. It keeps the lips perfectly moisturized all the time, without making them dry.
Verdict- Quality is surely comparable to most of the brands and it beats them on price and quality. Although  have tried only these two colors, but am planning to swatch more in the coming week.
